Identity
Kaden is a 20-year old man bearing the arrogance of a youth. He’s of noble ideals, but also views that any and all means justify a righteous end, including bloodshed. He’s reckless—getting away with foolish actions only because he’s almost as good as he thinks he is.
Build
Kaden utilizes a mix of his Lightning magic and weapons. Though prior to instruction from Caesennia, he almost exclusively used magic, only wielding a shield and rarely even drawing his weapons. During a training match, he chopped into a shield out of frustration, inspiration striking him as the weapon remained stuck.
Now Kaden carries a specialized shield, one with magnets charged by his magic, which can hold onto his weapons for quickly swapping between them and a free hand.
Significant Actions
Following the collapse of Fort Talos, Kaden sold everything he could spare to pay for relief supplies, delivering them personally to the fort under disguise. He even saved the Bronze Legion soldier he’d knocked out at the fortress’s hidden entrance.
Kaden more or less annihilated the Assassin Syndicate in the Bronze Sea single-handedly. He did so by making his attacks initially look like criminal infighting. It worked for a while, but the Bronze Sea Syndicate caught on right as he destroyed the base in Whitesummit by collapsing it, killing most inside. While the Syndicate at large doesn’t know it was him, he still has a sizable bounty from more known hunts.
Amber Cinders

Identity
Amber is a 21-year old woman who really just wants to live alone, out of reach of the Order of Asier. Unfortunately, her destiny is as great as Ketch’s, having caught the eye of Poseidon. She does not go along with her fate happily, trying repeatedly to separate herself from Kaden to little avail.
Build
Amber’s ancient heritage in the Firebringer is compounded by her more modern association with an earth-magic clan in the Thorne Empire, resulting in her wielding Magma Magic, mutating her natural fire magic shortly after discovering it. Amber has exceptional aura control, and uses it to move quickly even with heavy magma coating her limbs. She’s no combat pragmatist like Kaden, but instead drills her techniques to simplistic perfection.
Significant Actions
Amber rescued Kaden in Calvus’s throne room, as the latter was too weakened by the Eternal Mines, Julian’s ambush, and a lack of sleep to win against Ravenna’s king. Amber, contacted by Morden, who assumed she either missed the letter or ignored it, walked straight up to the Castello, before brutalizing the two centurions who tried to stop her. She did so to make up for Kaden saving her own life in the fight against Iris.
Amber cleared out the Cult of Greenwish form the Bronze Sea, agreeing to the task in indigestion of seeing the group’s murder of so many. While Cernyx broke her arm, she prevailed in the end, clearing the island for re-habitation, also being granted a hefty reward for her actions by refugees from Shell Island.
