Before the update, all the events were stacked at i0 and i1, including an obsecene amount of sea beasts, a generous amount of islands and weather events. While i3 and i4 all it haves is tornados, tornados, tornados, and quite a lot of volcanos and jungle here and there, if lucky, you may encounter an island!.
After the update, same thing happens at low insanity ranges, however, i3 and i4, all that appears is more and more tornados, and an absurd amount of dragon cliffs, in fact, i dont remember encountering a proper island to look for beasts and an hecate during my expeditions.
I dont say dragon cliffs should be rarer, but generation at far reaches should be improved, in a way more islands do spawn, and tune down the spawn or directly rework volcanos and jungles, as these generations provides nothing to the experience but block a possible island/dragon cliff generation, if only, volcanos, serves as an strategical advantage against sea beasts and atlantean ships.
As looking for dark sea resources and hecates are unecesarily tedious due their low spawn rate on islands which already haves a low spawn rate
Another option would be turning sunken forests into something that spawns around an island that has a lot of stuff (for example, a guaranteed Hecate Essence on an sunken forest island in the range where those can spawn at all), with some kind of indicator that signifies which direction the center (and thus the actual island) is.
I was even worse off. I saw only 1 dragon cliff in the entire far reaches before the epicenter, and literally ZERO islands or dragon cliffs what-so-ever before reaching the voidzone on accident. If I didn’t have warding 6 I’d have been cooked.
I absolutely despise the fact that happens. I also despise sunken forests having an aura.
Like, they’d be cool if you could gather supplies for your ship inside or the waves didn’t spawn while inside or if the towers actually had some goddamn purpose other than being a rare find with pitiful amounts of chests.
