PvE Renown System Functions (Remade)
Why I made this:
- (Last one was too complicated and major of a feature)
- PvE players don’t want to constantly have to run back and forth to clear their renown
- There are many other PvE players that may still want to gain renown (and possibly be on a friendly leaderboard) without having to fight people and without the risk of going over 300k.
- We already have a PvE version of clans, so a small (maybe moderate) rework to renown within guild servers would make sense.
Concept:
Fame and Bounty are gained by:
- (Every way we can currently gain renown excluding killing players)
- Upgrading your quality of life profession (cooking, brewing, crafting)
- Destroying or helping enemy towers and forts (planned feature in trello)
- Winning duels
Unique mechanics and features:
Players who want to stay neutral and do not want to have to constantly run back and forth to clear bounty or fame now have the option to disable renown gain in settings next to the combat toggle. (This is for obvious reasons a guild server (PvE server) exclusive)
PvE renown leaderboard:
This can either have all of the same titles and renown requirments, or my idea is that they could be seperated into three sections for both bounty and fame:
Fame
Luminary - 1,000,000
Sentinel - 600k
Noble - 300k
Bounty
Ravager - 1,000,000
Mercenary - 600k
Vandal - 300k
(Optional feature additions, recommended)
Renown decay:
If you have over 300,000 renown (amount needed for vandal/noble), it will slightly decay over time by 2% of its maximum amount if you become inactive for more than 3-4 days.
Renown preservation:
You can preserve up to 100,000 of your renown by storing it within the personal shared player bank (which I assume to be paramount bank).
Minor, but Cool Ideas for Renown Gain
- The ability to bribe commander NPCs to lower kingdom island guard presence or that kingdoms ship spawning rates in your server
- Vandalize towns and get NPCs to obey you and attack other civilians
