im sure a good amount of people havent done it so here’s my tips
longest was cooking
shortest was jewelcrafting
but jewelcrafting is definitely the hardest to gather items
i did cooking by throwing together everything that “tastes much better when cooked” and at tier 5 cooking (excellent) i did 3 red/green apples and 1 sky apple just so id have a load of invigorating 3 food later
i did brewing by making a load of mystery vials and harming vials (bone/askew root, conch/clam/porceletta). I also started with making insanity vials but its probably easier to stick to bones and askew roots instead of black shards.
finally for jewelcrafting, i used any rare gem and any tier 2 reagent. Mostly included thornflowers and coppershrooms. coppershrooms took a long time to grind and I think is the easiest to grind, but it’s likely that you’ll have thornflowers lying around if you go out into the dark sea.
How long did it take in total? I dunno really cos cooking built up over time before brewing and jewelcrafting. Brewing maybe only took like 45 mins as i already had all the ingredients lying around. Cooking if i were to estimate if you had all the ingredients, 1h45m, and jewelcrafting 25 mins with all ingredients.
uh maybe my perception of time just got warped after pressing e and q for so long.
You could’ve done cooking way faster if you farmed at like harvest island or something due to pumpkins being a thing. If I still remember correctly pumpkins are a great source of grinding XP along with the other combinations of things
Brewing can easily be obtained as well just by grinding out seaweed via re-running and cycling palo and limestone (if that’s still efficient) so you can gain seaweed. Also makes easy runs with the shorelines that limestone and palo have for catalysts
jewelcrafting good but you could aesily do this via trading or something.
However, there is also another way to gain these XP very fast, that being player trade interaction.
A way to get trades without wasting anything would be Quantity over quality, aka trading explosive cannonballs or something for seaweed, conches, etc.
IDK how long it took you but somebody (lettuce) did get all the perfect skills in 2 days after creating a new file
!!!
fishing in the dark sea and finding a golden pot will net you SO much more experience, if you’re like i am and want a lump sum. got only two leg fish together among some other decent ones and cooked a 2k meal. i couldve done more, but routinely what i would do is fish in the dark sea for a good while, then sail around looking for gold pots. if i only found silver ones, i would cook up sky pumpkins w/ blue tier fish as filler which gives pretty good xp.
it might not be the most directly efficient method, but you gain a lot more than just xp sitting around looping pumpkins, such as: leg fish scales, ALL forms of dark sea loot, fishing book prog, sunken pity prog, also high tier gems from fishing (meta lazuli)
not sure why you would do all that for brewing when you can copy what i did (which also happens to benefit from the dark sea fishing+farming!) where you log back onto the game after a huge fishing session a day later and brew up 5x bone harming potions to max. it’s tedious, but your alternatives require more farming for not much quicker reward, or really any ending reward. this is also done alongside dumping rare/exotic reagents into silver dark sea cauldrons, so it is lightened a bit.
using t2 reagents for jewelcrafting (mainly coppers, WHY?) is unhinged as hell and this could have been done way better imo
This was during before dark seas
but it still works for those who want to farm in the bronze sea, besides Golden Pot is somewhat of a chance, I don’t think you’ve have it with you forever so you’ll need to go to another island if it/another/have to go prepared with equipment to the further reaches
This guide is more so friendly, and is ofc out-dated due to dark seas being released but still works as well
Unfortunately I can’t really compare the difficulty of getting perfect cooking to brewing and jewelcrafting since I did cooking less frequently over a longer period of time and a while before the other two. Also these were all done before the dark sea, which makes it easier.
I will say however, brewing is definitely the easiest, especially with the amount of reagents that you can get.
