Finding the Epicenter is easier than you think

No, the dark sea isnt as big as you think.
No, I havent found the epicenter…yet

However

I completed this lap in about 2 hours.

That is, from sameria and back to the bronze sea in 2 hours.
If we include just i4 its probably around 1h 15m

This means you can theoretically circle the entirety of i4 in 5 hours.
Happy Hunting!

bro that’s not the entire sea tho
it’s only like 1/4th

if you traveled the entire sea you would 100% find the epicenter rbo

yeah finding the epicenter is easy all you have to do is not die in the dark sea for five hours straight

Thats more of a mental game because all of the massive volcanoes look like an epicenter copycat

You mean the nimbus sea, right?

elf mindset

honestly if you are just sailing normally its not that hard

just make sure you are absolutely stacked with cargo and galleons

and make sure you have a master shipbuilder

and preferably deckhands with lead lines… that’s not necessary though

i dont think any of mine have lead lines and i did fine last time

granted, i only went for like 1h30 but i died due to insanity, not ship sinking

I’m probably not the best person for this though… none of my deckhands are above low loyalty

you can just visit a bunch of islands and buy the items that they like from the tailors

cant wait for the mutiny update

yes

if you’re just looking for the epicentre, it’s probably best to wear full painite theurgist set, and a defense amulet with warding or something
that should ensure that you don’t instantly die if you get struck by lightning

for ship builds, you’d probably want a brig with a lot of speed to outrun the atlantean ships, but also with quite some health so the shipbuilder ability gives more health back. turning speed and ram power don’t really matter that much, since you would probably not need to turn that quickly anyways, and it’s faster to just not bother with the atlantean ships.
and ofc you’d want to use the lead lines as an artifact

then as a strategy you can just spam the navigator ability once it’s ready and sail in a straight line to range 4, and then just sail around there and you should be able to find it if you spend enough time. If your brig takes more than like 2k damage, use the shipbuilder ability to repair it back to full. If your brig took way too much damage, you could also use a repair hammer or cargo after using the ability to save some galleons/cargo with repairing.

(if anyone has any criticism on this, please say so so we can make a more reliable strategy)

an easy accessory thats accepted by most npcs as gifts is the large cape accessory, it can be sold by the merchant npc and found just about everywhere

the eyepatch is also quite a common item which a lot of different npcs accept, and you can buy it on nearly every island with a tailor

UPDATE: GG

We made it to the place where durza busted a nut

so do you just

-get to range 4

-start circling around

(how do you circle around without going into other ranges by accident)
