What if it was a distracter, he could be trying to overcomplicate things for us so we destroy our own motivation. Of course, I think this is unlikely but it’s better to look at every angle then not look at all. Plus, I don’t think I can be of any use to the solving of this puzzle in any other way so I feel this might be the only way I can help.

Decrypted message: II I,7 and picture it as the answer
I have no idea if my decrypted message is correct but this was the best I could do to make sense of it. I’m currently assuming that II stands for second awakening and I,7 stands for the magic (acid and glass). As for 'picture it as the answer, I got no clue at all
