(This a long read mostly about me ranting)
Greetings, to introduce myself briefly, I am a big fan of Vetex’s games and been playing since the early stages of AA and other games like Adventure Story, but was only a member of the forum around maybe 2024? Been a long while since my last visit in the forum, and even playing AO. Life wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine. But anyways, just earlier I got curious about AO so decided to check it out of the blue, and to my surprise “FULL RELEASE“.
YOOOOOOOO, ngl that got me really hyped up. So I clicked, press play, got a bit confused with the new UI but it’s convenient that you can teleport to either sea. So I load in, spawn in my ship (as beautiful as I left her), memories flood in, almost teared up a wee bit.
I started to sail, then I noticed that my energy was 0/0, but I didn’t pay attention to it thought it was some bug since I’m laggy af. Got to wind row island and first chest I got, a chart.
So I obviously went for it, which was in Blasted rock, expecting to see something like this:
Instead, there was nothing, it was quiet and unsettling, thinking it was some lag. then as I approach the centre of the island, I see a humanoid figure. “Huh, must be a player…“ But they ain’t moving, so I got closer so see a bit better, and can’t recognize any of the armour. Then suddenly…
Let me remind you that I had no idea at all, and was a bit laggy. King Caesar caught me lacking hard bro, like really bad. My gear was not for combat, all I could do was run around. And remember when I said I ignored the 0/0 Energy? Welll… ain’t difficult to imagine what that would do to a MAGE BUILD!!! A MAGEEEE, so none of my magic was working, I’m desperately holding shift and dodging for dear life, but still died. So anyways, for some reason I decided to reset my magic cuz I thought something was wrong AND BOOOIIII WAS I STUPID!!! ALL I HAD TO DO WAS EAT??!?!!?
So yeah i wasted time and had to figure out the keys and all, and died about 2 more times, really lost all my skills, knowledge about my build, magic and etc. Then my Brig de-spawned and hoooooly, was a looking through the UI like crazy finding the “Dock Brig“ button. So in the end I just fished for like 30 mins with luck potions.
But yeah it was funny, entertaining, and quite stupid of me, well done Vetex, well done.
