It is no secret that the current warrior awakening is extremely boring compared to everything else, not only that it’s also quite ass right now so here I propose an idea for an entirely different awakening

Dual Wielding
Being able to dual wield two different single handed weapons would certainly add some variety, not to mention it would likely be better than what the current awakening offers.

A change to current dual wields

This idea would work better if current dual wielded weapons were given the option to seperate into two single handed ones, this could be done by any weapons build as long as it’s the same weapon

How it would work

Combining
With the new weapons tab coming, there’d be a new option allowing to combine two one handed weapons into one slot (rapier dagger, small sword flintlock etc.)

The option to combine two different weapon types into one would be only available after obtaining the first Warrior Awakening: Weapons Mastery

Second Awakening
In the future once second awakening becomes a thing, and a warlord chooses this awakening instead of a second fighting style they get a few unique things, for one most weapons too heavy to be one handed by an ordinary weapon’s user, warlord can now one hand them, and some would even gain the option to be dual wielded.

Animations
Naturally some animations would require to be mirrored if it’s using a skill on the other hand

Skills

Amount of Skill Slots
After combining, the amount of skill slots would be at least +1. The amount would depend on the weapons quality, so higher quality weapons would get more skill slots after being combinined. (this means that the skill slots wouldn’t double)

Skills
Combined as one weapon you’d be able to use skills of both weapons combined, could allow for current dual wielded skills to be used in some combinations, (such as dagger short bladed being able to use something like twin crescents or mirrored river)

its cool but thats never happening sadly

one small issue: animations are incredibly hard to mirror
vetex also said warrior awakening is staying weapon aura

on a side note why did you rate yourself all 5 stars? if you’re gonna do that i’m gonna have to rate you all 1 star to balance it out

I thought that they’d have an option to be mirrored simply damn

Damn guess warrior will forever have a boring awakening :sob:

Idk I find it weird that it’s an option in the first place but I guess that it can’t be done any other way

@JTN since you’re good with animations is there a chance you could ever try and mirror animations so more weapons can have more skills

Dual Dual Pistols

they take 2 seconds to flip a animation but it’s tedious work and id rather kill myself than doing that

I had an idea similar to this to do with weapons with 2 weapon types, but otherwise its ok, to have this as an entire awakening seems a bit wasteful and i would keep it as maybe a sidequest reward or something like that? idk warrior aura is underwhelming but not worthy of this as a replacement imo

Oh i wish we could have cool stuff

The way you worded and planned this one just sounds so plausible, but in reality we all know warriors just got the short end of the stick

Weapon aura is just imbuement but worse and with no personality whatsoever…

i think no, because dual swords and guns are already a thing in ao and they work different

I hope vetex adds the thing he said about each weapon type (Blunt, slash,…) would get a new status effect idk where i heard about it.

I feel like giving warriors more weapon slots would fit better

he never said that, that was the balance team

i think warrior awakening should just make you grow an extra pair of arms

Long before time had a name…

okay but two sets of arms is so cool

pretty good idea, but the amount of work needed and balancing stuff means this has poor chance of being considered.

Seems hard to code in my opinion, plus, there are already dual wielded weapons.

Also lower star rate because you rated yourself which is peak bad ideas
