yeah outside of cats most domesticated animals are seriously fucked genetically
cows pigs and chickens look nothing like their predecessors a buncha years ago thanks to selective breeding for the specific purpose of getting better meat from them
the worst example has got to be dogs because like every single currently existing dog breed has some seriously messed up medical issue that was a byproduct of inbreeding, like pugs can’t breathe properly at all or how every samoyed’s bone structure is slowly deteriorating every second they’re alive
