Fishing sunkens

Just imagine - you caught several thousand fish, and then accidentally missed one bag and you think … what if it was the item from the sunken set? I can’t fish like this.

Does anyone know at what point the game determines the item you received, when the bag appears or when you have already caught it?

I think this is a pain for every fisherman in WoM.

i assume the rarity of the item affects how many bobs there are before it gets caught like fish, which would imply its predetermined, but its not like if i had anything to confirm this

Also, do you have any thoughts on fishing rods? Because I keep using magnetic collectors cuz wiki says so, but I think there is much more chance to get sunken with fast rods like luring bronze rod.

i just use a magnetic collector rod when im watching something at the same time (dont have to pay as much attention) and a luring bronze rod when i want to actively fish (a lot more fish overall with a similar item rate). not gonna go crazy for something thats maaaaaaaybe a tiny bit faster to get sunkens

this is true, you can get up to ~15 bobs if its a legendary fish (according to the trello back when the update was being developed lul)

What about sunken drops?

  • Some fucking bags appear after 1 blob and dissapear like in 2 sec, wtf why, but even with normal ping, server just ignores my mouse when I click to catch this speedrunning bag. I never thought that fishing in a lego game would make me angry.

How about bag or you don’t know if you don’t know I will have to count how many bobs for a bag and perhaps a sunken

As someone that got 2,4K without any sunken, I’m starting to lose hope. I have never caught a sunken, not even on my other files. My friends always make fun of me for being sunken-less.

On the bright side, there is gonna be a pity system in ao. (Also heard something about automatic fishing rods on ships, not 100% sure though.)

I got sunken only once, for like 3k fishes, its was chestplate on my 53 catch.

I got sunken 2 times on my main

and I got a sunken on my alt 2 times
