It’s weird because the man is so tiny and the fish is so big.
chief that’s the perspective, the fish is In the air, and thus we’re getting an areal perspective 
I don’t know if you can but making the rest of the art beside the fish a bit a really tiny bit transparent might give it the depth you need.
