Flame of Rebirth: Full Power

Bro is NOT Marco The Phoenix

Holy its finally done, Ive been slowly chipping away at this for around 2-3 months but its finally done, this is what I’d imagine my character like when hes fully mastered his magics (well, visually in this case, just 1 magic)

I made a whole ass headcannon on how he uses this full transformation thing that probably is on the verge of not making any sense at all, but I think it works.

bs Headcanon/Lore explanation + yap

In the ever continuing search of power, Rico seeks to master his magics and to maximise not only their power but utility aswell, after devising a method of conjuring Phoenix magic wings on his arms instead of his back, he seeked to improve this, to push it further, what if there was a way to conjure a full body, something like an embodiment that Martial Artists use but more as a “mode”. He begins to experiment, at first by attempting to cast the aura spell but with a shape with obviously 0 success, he begins research, studying aura and construct like spells and Master Martial artists with how they use embodiments, through much trial and error he finally manages to conjure the body of a Phoenix, surrounding himself in a veil of flames and feathers, however it wouldnt really prove useful as he was essentially made blind by his construct, this is when it got even more complicated.

Remembering the Automaton/Golem spell that most mages are familiar with, he wonders how they are able to see while coated in a suit of magic only to then realise there is a grate-like area on the head they can see through, this kind of thing wouldnt work. Over the course of roughly a year he attempts to study ways he can sort of “connect” his sight with that of his construct, out of sheer luck and even more trial and error, he manages to figure something out, by carefully casting a magic circle just barely underneath his skull (roughly where the brain stem connects to the spinal cord) with the intent to pretty much “become” his creation (iwl this is like prolly pushing the way intention works to the brink on how it actually works in lore) he pretty much transfers his consious to his construct, meaning he can see through its eyes and have complete control over it, during this time, his body remains unconsious, sitting in the body of the phoenix, protected by a veil of flames and feathers, this however took extreme focus, especially casting the magic circle in the right place, maintaining this form at first took quite a lot of effort, but grew easier with more time and experience. In this form his power grows to incredible levels but being in a new body essentially, he needed to get a little more creative with his attacks, relying almost solely on magic, casting spells from the talons, under the wings or even from the beak, reinforcing the wings with magic for blunt or slicing strikes, combining magics for some attacks (like a Fire + Inferno blast or ray, not combining magics to create a new one) and even taking inspiration from the attacks of dragons.

While this “form” has proved great, it can have its drawbacks, one of them potentially being detrimental, while his body is protected by a barrier of flames, this barrier is not inpenetrable, if an attack were precise enough to hit his physical body and strong enough to pierce the veil, the magic circle connecting him to the construct would be broken, severing his concious with an abrupt jolt back to his own body, leaving him dazed and disoriented for a few moments (I mean who wouldnt be after you suddenly snap back to your own body after being hit with a powerful attack).

Nice to meet a fellow person that has their oc have Phoenix magic

+200 HP and gets 1 shot by a glass cannon build

Very good concept, 5 bucks vetex will never make anything close to being as good.

Make it a million, because it’s an uncertainty.
We already had Phoenix magic, it looked basically like the AA one but the orange-variant, nothing really changed.
