Day 1.
So, I never tend to keep any scientific research documents tidied in place. Just sleeping above them is my tendency usually, and depending on luck to find any missing papers is my other tendency. But I don’t depend on luck, for luck is only mythology.
However, today is a new day. Sol finally convinced me to get a new notebook to detail our journey, and all scientific information I could find helpful.
As captain of Ginarys, it is within necessity to go on an exodus to the Dark Seas, find the fabled Prometheus Acrimony, and brew the legendary potion spoken about only through ancient tongues, long lost by an obsessive overconsumption of Aurem.
I took six of my strongest men with me to sail; Benjamin Salore (the treasury lord), Alexei Booth (our huntsman), Ulrich Reigner (helmsman), Sol Moonsilver (quartermaster), Zachary Crest (the weaponsmith), and John Kennedy (Definitely NOT the former president of a nation in another world, now reincarnated, but instead our chef and alchemist) aboard Persephone Nine, the crew’s Brig, on the journey.
I will detail my journey as the days go on, but for now, I believe we are ready to search for the legendary potion’s reagent, all to figure out what it does. In the name of Science. The brew to end all brews— The Philosopher Stone in liquid form, the Interchange Potion. As for why we are searching for it: We don’t know, even. Something is drawing us towards it: Could it be a current? A magnetic field? Some kind of Entropy? I presume we will only find out once we actually uncover the place of where the flower naturally blooms.
We are approaching the gates of darkness as I write this. The crew is in ready anticipation, adrenaline levels stabilized and air quality reasonable. Atmospheric magic energy concentrations appear to be perfect for now— If only we can keep it like this even while we’re sailing the forbidden treacherous.
I can see the walls of darkness from here: This sums up the entry for today, notebook.
