just have fun and make sure it’s lore-accurate… 2 reasons why this is not in the suggestions category: I can’t add topics there yet and Vetex doesn’t accept boss ideas. add an idea for a boss, their position, drops, moves, appearance, is it story or how will you run into this boss, ect.
idk if tis is already the case. but elius jumps from pillar to pillar. But i think he can just hover over the pillar even if its broken which slightly ticks me off. So i think breaking the pillar under elius should cause him to trip to give the player an opening.
but aside from elius, it would be nice if boss fights had stuff where destroying the environment would help you out

alpha white eyes with an actual boss fight, its surrounded by an aura of water and occasionally leaps out of the water and into the sky
it will summon smaller sharks to fight by its side, and they will torpedo the ship.
damage to the boss itself will be heavily reduced, but if you hit a torpedo shark it will fling backwards. if the alpha white eyes is in the water, the torpedo shark spins and hits it, dealing big damage. boss has other abilities like summoning a large wave (doesnt drag your) making a whirlpool or just shooting water abilities
Acid curse user fight that is litteraly “Floor is Lava” and they constantly destroy platfroms we have
Calvus also makes u use the environment to your advantage to an extent, albeit it might be unintentional
im talking about how you can use his pillars to block his multi blasts attack, as well as using the different height level between the throne area and the general area to make his attack his the ground or something
A boss that you can’t win only survives. The boss will destroy you, with no attack indication, and very fast. He will insult you if you die.
A cat and mouse situation, you will try to run and hide while the boss will try to find and kill you, probably set in a maze or a dense jungle.
Yeah, something like that.
yeah kinda sad that sea monsters are just big scary things you meant to avoid / kill with your ship
maybe after the water-proofing spell is added we can actually have a proper sea monster boss

that was meant to be a mud disc but we kinda got lazy with it and make it an energy disc cuz it looked funny
A warlord build-type boss that boasts slow melee attacks, but is fast mobility-wise (somehow).
It would mainly focus on parrying their melee combo’s, parrying all of them in a row would stun the boss for a opening to damage them.
Occasionally, the boss would use attacks outside of his melee combo to catch people off-guard with more powerful, AOE attacks.
Hey, i actually made a boss concept like this unironically, but that one’s outside of AO canon.
I’m pretty sure something likethis was mentioned in the QnA but a bossfight where you need to traverse a big arena by jumping from area, or one where you have to climb a tower would be cool.
However I also really want a battle in the sky and no I do not mean Verdies. Either with skyships, or perhaps just jumping through the air ourselves after an enemy, I think a more three dimensional fight would work well.
