I’m interested in how you all think galleons should be obtained, what should be the best method and your complaints about the current meta of galleon obtainment. Personally I don’t like how to get like 1 million every hour or so you have to do some ridiculous pre-setup and all that over-the-top ridiculous crap. Just let me do my cargo runs that work.

State down below your thoughts, some of what I said is a bit exaggerated and I know there’s gonna be people who disagree but I just despise the meta galleon methods. I’d rather be more rewarded for cargo and for it to be buffed, not making it the meta but just more viable. After all I do like listening to vids while I align cargo crates because AO gives me OCD. [IMPORTANT] This is not a critique of the developers IN ANY WAY just certain things and I fully agree with every developer and their choices and I pray to Vetex every night.
I’m fine with how Galleons/Drachma is obtained right now; it’s not too hard, which is great for when you need to buy expensive stuff like the Brig.
If I had to suggest an improvement? Maybe increase the profit from Cargo for Fame Players. You’d think that stolen Cargo would get you less Drachma, but all that happens is you don’t have to pay the 50 Galleon fee for each box and you don’t make back that nonexistent 50. Bounty Players have a natural advantage over Fame players in that regard, since the only expenses they get is having to clear their Notoriety every so often after stealing enough Cargo.
I have 500k galleons, 2 sunkens (used to be 3) and all the ao seasonals with a recently acquired american cap (for the occasion) but I still feel unsatisfied with the cargo system.
I mainly meant the meta ways for galleon obtainment and ways that we could get more galleons as players without some of the absurd prerequisites for large collection. I think cargo should be buffed overall but especially in the case of fame players.
I wouldn’t say vastly harder, but I’d prefer if they removed this meta bullshit and made more immersive methods more rewarding instead of this V luck diving spot BS.
I don’t get what’s so wrong with it. I tried it and there’s a mix-up of how much profit you can make from it because you have to pray to rng-esus that you don’t get fucked.

most essentia i see on the market goes for like 7500 drachma avg sometimes lower
total cost of making 2 glided perfect luck V aura is approximately 110k drachma; that’s the amount you need to exceed in loot gained from diving spot and treasure charting. There is several things that can go wrong that results in you losing profit.
You disconnect and lose all your charts
You’re negligent and you die to sharks losing all your charts
You die to a player and you lose all your charts
You don’t get enough Akursius Keep charts on top of any sunkens and aren’t able to break even
Or you just don’t get any note worthy items that can be sold on the market for good drachma
I tried it. I bought a gilded perfect luck V aura for 68k (pretty exorbitant) for the purpose of testing the method and i made only around 67k galleon profit for the 1hr and 42 mins i spent mean while people swear they’re making 250k+ from it.
Sharks and players is avoidable if you’re not some high fame/bounty player. It’s your fault if you get hunted IF you have those stats. If not I’m sorry for that, sharks is easily done with repellent, and what I’m referring to are those golden dark sea cauldron making get this ingredient that kind of stuff. I’m aware it’s luck based, it’s legit in the name but it’s still some meta crap in my eyes.
