Forum users should be more considerate about newer players

Something that I’ve noticed is that in topics relating to the design and structure of the game, forum users tend to ignore more casual and relaxed players, despite them making up the vast majority of the playerbase. For example, in a topic about making the bosses weaker and harder to cheese than in Arcane Adventures, everyone just replied “skill problem”, despite the fact that in all likelihood, most Arcane Adventures players had the same experience as the creator of the topic. Arcane Odyssey cannot exist without its casual audience, so if you want the game to succeed, you should begin thinking more about them.

Lol and why u think everyone who talked skill issue tryhards

People here hate being rked because are “casual non pvpers”

skill issue

no but in actual seriousness it’s a joke

We’re much more relaxed over here. Most of the time, we don’t even talk about the game, sure we have people like meta but most of us just wanna chill and make some jokes

Yeah, I know the “skill issue” thing was a joke. I wanted to add that into the original post, but I couldn’t find room for it. I just felt that the “skill issue” joke was kind of a symptom of the problem.

I know it’s not a huge problem btw, I just think it would be nice if we brought people other than ourselves into the conversation about the game.

Please note, this post was a bit over-dramatic. I don’t feel that strongly about this.

At least we aren’t the Discord

Agreed

Bosses being easier would make boss drops a lot less valuable and the effort of getting the endgame stuff painless. When I played wom I didn’t know ANYTHING about Third Person shooters, when I first fought exiled I got two of my friends and killed him lol. Overtime I kept trying and trying and finally i can beat the exiled now ez.

If the bosses were so easy that a new player with not so good gear could beat them you would have a world // zero problem. If you played world//zero you know that the dungeons are EZ. The easiness even though the bosses and the dungeons looked good was a massive turn off to most players and even the newbies got bored because how easy it was. Yeah there was no grinding but the bosses were damn easy to cheese and good gear was worthless. People finished the game in a day and done, say bye bye to world//zero even if a new dungeon or world releases people would complete it within an hour.

I agree that bosses shouldn’t be broken like exiled or marua spamming attacks with no cooldowns and being invisible for the end of time but this is the effect of making bosses easier.

I understand why you think that way, but it’s not worth sacrificing the enjoyment of 99% of the players so the top 1% can have fun.

read my whole fucking message.

I did.

okay now read my whole message please :(

done

The more I think about it, there is some merit to what you’re saying. While the newer players do boost the player count, the more loyal, experienced players are important to keeping the game alive. There needs to be something there for them as well.

There is no 99% or 1% here, if you get good gear and become max level and try defeating the minotaur again and again you can beat him, you can know which attack he’s going to do and dodge it etc and become a master of that boss!!! That’s what I did and many people did when they joined Wom and it worked!!! PvP isn’t even neccessary in Wom so the 1% and 99% doesn’t exist , we’re fighting AI / Robots not skilled PvP players(I’m not one of them nor am I a good pve player my point is the real enjoyment is defeating the boss again working to get good gear and finally when you defeat them you get a sense of accomplisment, if the bosses were easy as in World//Zero you would not feel anything and just say meh when you defeat them. No one would work to get good gear and even upgrade or enchant their gear

You are NOT helping my argument

I agree that bosses shouldn’t be broken and spam attacks like marua and exiled this means they are broken and not hard so don’t decrease difficulty of bosses rather fix the bosses.

There does need to be something for the dedicated players, but putting something in the game which is too hard and is required to progress is bad.
