Neither is exactly fine imo, as seen by the vast amount of incidents caused by alcoholics
Your generic organic narcotic, ring of carbons with some bullshit at the end which coincidentally mimics endorphins
LIKE THE CHOCOLATE COCA?
(Technically spelled cocoa but whatever)
No that’s cacao not coca
Same origin different words
not even close
coca-cola does contain coca leaves but without columbian bam-bam
can’t both these be true?
Like instinctually, if you had someone grow up in a box would they develop a sense of morality that you would consider good
If yes, morality is an underlaying sense that we all have
If no, morality is dictated by social pressures
Yeah
Though you could argue that maybe some things aren’t objective that’s a discussion for another time
Depends on what was inside the box
they’d probably go insane from lack of social interaction, or at least be very behind developmentally
Again not really, the legality of something is not the only thing that influences societal perception. Cocaine is way worse than alcohol, it’s a lot harder to justify it. Also a religion like that wouldn’t last, encouraging people to be alcoholics is not at all a sustainable belief so people wouldn’t accept it for long.
By “in a box” I just mean isolated from differing opinions
Ooka ooka booga booga chaka chaka waka waka?
which means more emphasis on societal influence?
If you want a sounder scenario in a box then put our hypothetical baby in a forest with a surrogate wolf mother Roman style and then take them out at 21 and see if they think killing other humans for fun is bad
I mean considering that humans are genetically designed to be in communities wouldn’t it be inherently unethical to isolate someone in any context
Idk how this really connects to the topic at hand but food for thought
there have been children that have been isolated this way
look up “feral child” and no its not just a kid who runs around like a bumper car in a chili’s
It would but the question of “do we have some morality encoded into our brain structure or is it entirely the result of memetic evolution” still stands
If Tarzan taught me anything this wouldn’t be that bad
We just need an attractive British woman and a kooky old professor as a comic relief
WE all miss the og recipe.
