I have no idea how you can believe this while also believing in tabula rasa.

Tabula rasa with a spoonful of sugar

We’re all technically neutral but it’s easier to do good things than harmful things

My hobby should not be massively frowned upon like dat mayne, we an oppressed people fr

Me when I don’t read

Even if you somehow managed to convince a society that God loves booze like that one Futurama episode, the society would crumble pretty quickly because the religion it follows demands the mass production and short term pleasure of getting drunk over actual sustainability.

Me when I double down on my illiteracy…

Didn’t Jesus literally turn water into wine

Elaborate how what I said doesn’t link to your point.

As a miracle yes, wine was and still is a popular part of culture. Christianity does not value excessive alcohol consumption if that’s your point.

To clarify, drinking itself is not considered a sin, but drunkenness is. And you’re supposed to obey the law when it comes to alcohol, so underage drinking and operating a vehicle while intoxicated are still big no-nos

No I just meant that like the bible doesn’t explicitly forbid alcohol just the misuse of it

We really need a thread for arguments like this

Where are all the surveys?!?!? i wish to click a button immediately!!!

I imagine the goal of a religion that threatens you with eternal punishment for drinking a single drop of alcohol wouldn’t be to encourage drinking alcohol

Suffer!

Ah, my needs are satiated..

Something just happened.

Nothing happened.

OHHH mb I didn’t read that properly. Alcohol isn’t good for people so a society where nobody wants to drink it could work, but it’d still be harder to convince people of than if you swapped alcohol out for cocaine.
