I’ve realized that what I like is music made as an artistic, fictional expression.
What annoys me is when the song is mostly the person complaining about their real-life problems. The second I hear anything about lost love or a rough childhood, I’m out, lol.
Maybe it’s because I come from one, but rough childhood in music? It’s very dependent on how exactly they play it. I’m down for some emotion about “yeah, I was abused,” because I can relate, but I don’t like it when you can tell they are perverting something that they didn’t experience.
But, good music is good music. Just hurts me as someone who experienced what they are trying to monetize.
To each their own. I’m just more of a fan of works that try to establish some kind of fiction.

My wrapped always sucks because I just listen to my liked songs on random and then just skip a bajillion times until I find one that fits my mood.
