Friend is looking for a PVP build, any help would be appreciated

I have a friend who hasn’t played the game in a year, and he’s looking for a good, high damage build to use in PVP. Not just armor and accessories, but rare spells and gem effects too, because he doesn’t really know how most of that works, having been gone for a while. He plays lightning/water mage. Any suggestions?

For a lightning/water mage, he should mainly focus into speed, power, and defense. This is easiest done with a (much preferably t2) enchanted set of carina/calvus with a full set of energy regeneration candelaria gems. If he is willing to grind more, however, then he should try getting sunken warrior armour or modified lightning arcanium gear.

What I would consider baselines for the three stats:

Defense: at least 500.

Attack speed: at least 150.

Power: at least 75. (but seeing as he wants high power he should reach for 100, if it is really his goal)

(this is what I would consider a good start to get into PvP if he doesent have the time to grind).

For spell modifications and playstyles, I recommend that he:

-uses double beam for both water and lightning magic

-uses drill shape if he has the aim, if not, then use spikeball/Phoenix/dragonhead (if he is going for high power only, I personally use horizontal slash for speed)

-stays mobile, and read when his opponent is attempting to rush him down

-turret when his opponent is in a bad positional advantage

-use javelin (5 pulse) on water magic, for a longer soaked application.

There’s much more that could help, I just wanted to list a few important ones. I need to say that I haven’t really used lightning mage since nimbus release, though, so some of this could be outdated.

I’d say single beam would be more optimal for easy hitscan, single beam is usually better for mages anyways
water can be double beam though
Use drill if you want, maybe bird and arrow (arrow is fun) if you want more speed, and a single 100% spikeball ult
you prob want 1k defense 100 power 200 speed if possible, max of 2 insanity (prob optimal)
