Full Release content amount and release date discussion

The game getting its largest update in autumn, to me, conveys carelesness regarding the game itself.

anyone saying “split the update!” are just whiners tbh
and i thought I was impatient…

It’s not possible to split the update without leaving the game in a horrible state of imbalance. Right now, features aren’t being finished one at a time, there are many all being worked on at once. Most of the new content is half-baked right now as it lacks variety.

Animals can’t be implemented because there isn’t enough variety yet and they probably need tweaks and testing to ensure they don’t interfere with gameplay too much.

The new moves can’t be implemented because weapons have a disproportionately HUGE number of abilities, while spirit weapons still have very few, and fighting styles have much less rare techniques than magic has spells.

We only have one new sea monster so far (plus a variant).

The Nimbus Sea has twice as many minibosses as the Bronze Sea, and none of the side bosses have been added yet for either sea, meaning the Champion and Conqueror badges would have to be disabled for a partial release.

I could go on and on but I think you get the point. TL;DR: Every large feature is only half-way done. They’re being developed simultaneously so there’s no way to deliver a satisfying and balanced partial release update.

As a deltarune fan, this is nothing.

if we’re counting cyberpunk then count no man’s sky too, game got pushed by Sony to release way too early and is now one of the best space exploration games out there

dawg update timeframe has nothing to do with if the devs care about the game or not
you’re just coping that your impatience isn’t shared by more than 5% of the community

Dev team seems to still have their major focus on actual features. If they go into polishing and bug fixing mode that won’t be a problem

Dude no man’s sky is so good rn like yeah it could be better but I really like it

How half-life 3 fans look at this thread knowing damn well they’re either very deluded or very patient

its just like Terraria said: theres no need to push for special deadlines, just let the game release when its ready.

okay so since you can’t read. IDGAF when the update drops, in fact, I’d rather it comes out during summer 2026 than this autumn. I don’t know how much free time you get, but I sure don’t have enough to delve into a game fully during term, and seeing how AO is conceived, I really don’t feel like only being able to experience half the stuff

If the update was split I guarantee people would cry about it being half-baked and lacking polish. Because it would be. There is no good or efficient way to do this, please be patient and occupy yourself in the meantime.

Y’all are already turning into r/BatmanArkham users over Full Release?

Point is half the features aren’t even added yet

T and F and 2

ok then, let the game release in autum+ for us who can play it there, and when its back in summer 2026 you can play it with all the extra stuff.

Everything you’ve said has thus far contradicted this statement.
You very clearly care about when the update drops considering you keep saying he should split it so it comes out faster.

Chess players:

Oh yeah and just in case, before you bring the point up of “I can play the update whenever I want to”, I’m trying to think like people who’ve never played AO. If I didn’t know the game, I don’t think that “kingdoms & Alignment” would hype me to play it (cause I’d have no idea what that is), full release would be a much different story.
My point is, FR is Vetex’s best way of propelling the game, such a release date is wasting it.

then why release it now???

why think of other people in this case? Full release should take longer and wait until autumn for people because it ensures it’ll be finished for us who can play. Having a game stay consitiently active throughout the year is better than trying to hype on some summer time. If people wanna play a game, they’ll make time for it.

Most of the community will come from younger people, who likely will have free time on the weekends anyways, and its not like being summer is going to magically make the game have 100000 extra players, it just matters on the quality.
