being mad sure but being so mad you try to kill a population of 4000 people what the fuck is wrong with you bro

It’s not like he wanted to just kill his brother, or the forsaken no. He wanted to kill everyone mind you the man with phoenix magic who could have saved his wife. But didn’t

main reason i dont like skyhall story is how like speedrunny it is
like straight up we were there for a day, tragedies happened, then ā€œoh yea we cant help you bye bye nowā€ LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU SPENT A YEAR ON A WHOLE ISLAND CLUSTER BUT WE SPEND AN HOUR AT MOST TO DO STORY :sob:

yea? wdym, it sounds like ur saying he was able to

Bro saw his soon to be wife held by yellow cloaked men (cause assassins in this universe like bright colors to be known) and chose nah I wont use my op phoenix magic. I run

Yeah the Phoenix man. Who can fly and heal

you do know how the scene plays out, right?

Yeah we hear a scream. Look to our left see the people. Allanon ran ahead and despite having Phoenix magic didn’t fly over grabbing his fiance and instead ran over likely screaming ā€œlet her go!ā€ And got stabbed cause of it

to me skyhall honestly felt more like a tech demo to see if they could get npcs to walk and talk at the same time and then we spent half of it asleep

Hence the potion that enhances anger? Do we lack basic critical thinking skills?

So far they are not connected we can theorize all we want but that’s head canon. And the theraxe people wanted us dead before the potion. That doesn’t prove anything?

They literally say in the game that the effects of the potion absolutely decimate your temper, of course it’s doing that.

Yeah which im not arguing against? Just that blood thirsty Vikings being blood thirsty after an angry potion isn’t weird but expected

Doesn’t matter, still a plot device, therefore bad. At least according to you, who said ā€œplot deviceā€ and left it at that. Or perhaps the dreaded concept of a ā€œplot deviceā€ isn’t a problem?

That’s not what he was trying to do, he was going to tear down the things that kept sea people and sky people separated by force, since playing nice didn’t work. He was too blinded by rage to consider how this act would not be a good idea. I think it is safe to say that a lot of resentment from anti-sea sentiment built up over time. Getting his newest project to improve the lives of his people blown up and having his wife get killed by his half-brother would certainly push him over the edge, and the poison was to keep him from climbing back up said edge.

I don’t think the PvP toggle exists in the story.

He actually was aware of his actions. He blindly attacked his brother thinking he’s a murderer okay that’s fine. But the chains? He knew that he had to think, process and realize this will bring down the sky killing EVERYONE on the islands. If he started just randomly blasting the town you’d be right but he didn’t he actively went out of his way to cause the most death

What is bro yapping about. I’m calling out bro didn’t use his op magic to do shit and you bring up PvP toggle?

Here’s what he should have done. Look over ā€œoh no forsakenā€ fly over using his Phoenix magic. Blast his fierce (and capture) with healing flames. Heals fiance and that capture confusing him. In that moment of confusion fly over grab him and burn him. Easy

I was making a joke. We can safely use all sorts of attacks that would hit our allies as well as our enemies without harming our allies, but I don’t think story characters have that luxury.

Unless he was too angry to do so.

Healing fire healing fire healing fire

Yes so angry to go genocidal. we’re actively ignoring that he went out of his way to target the chains to kill everyone

i hope its just repressed memory and not amnesia
id rather they explore that aspect so we have a motivation to find ourselves because it feels like our character just goes along with whatever and whoever the story proceeds with
