I wish Arcane Odyssey would get a combat rework, but I’m spoiled by modern combat systems in games. I dislike buttonmashing and holding t until the keycap fades, but it’s somewhat satisfying at least.
Too bad that the major community would never let Vetex give Arcane Odyssey a modern combat system.
I’m fine with just about every major game’s combat system so far, but if there’s a world that Arcane Odyssey becomes parry-based, I think even I would stop playing.
I don’t want to make any bold assumptions (except that’s what I’ve been doing this whole time), but it feels to me that the addition and omnipresence of resistance is strongly hinting towards that
so the dmg input in the vid is fair now, as the power he got is literally 137 he just holding the attack also which makes the dmg more, so yeah i think its balance for now.
Just so everyone knows I was not in fact, aware they were recording I was just trying to stab and shoot them to make sure duel protection still worked.
I’m too lazy to check if there was any buff that we could notice from this, what I did calculate was the efficiency points total, and let’s just say that 939 EP makes for a pretty good build :,)
i’m 90% sure the vanity metal armor giving protection thing is a technical limitation
i guess the alternative would be to just make every armor give protection
kinda feels like that’s a holdover from when weapons were planned to have heavy combo m1’s
