I’m confused does their health not have to be low or something to finisher them?
So you have two options when you poise break someone:
A. Attack and try to deal a lotta damage in those 3 seconds
B. Use a finisher move, which does a fixed amount of damage but ends the stun.
Speaking of poise breaks, I am quite curious if it’ll work on bosses/minibosses as strength currently lacks viable openings on bosses
how long does the hitstun last?
prob will
The patchnote just dropped I don’t knoooow ![]()
No, take Sekiro or Elden Ring posture breaking as a reference. Their posture gets broken, they kneel, and you go up to finisher them to do a large amount of damage

how long does it feel
is it like a whole second or a very brief stun like getting m1ed
or somewhere in between
Trust poise breaking will be the method to defeat the Omen due to the 30% damage, we just need 10 pure attack speed boxing berserkers
Boutta poiseloop the omen to death
Imagining a sailor lightning warlock Stunlocking me makes me want to mutilate every single part of my torso. Imagine hitstun being paired with paralyzed, completely halting your movement. “But ohhhh you can’t get comboed so easily” no. When you’re doing 80% hitstun and 50% stun, you are NOT moving.
Poise damage is not fitting for AO. The concept itself is ridiculous, for the same reason a 100% freeze stun by ice conj is. That was nerfed because it halted the gameplay and made said classes dominant in PvP, and that was a 2 second stun.
Now we have stunning warlock builds applying two types of stun. Ffs. Lightning sailor will apply both paralyzed and hitstun, and slow you down to a crawl, while they combo you. Get hit once, and you’re toast. You are NOT escaping from a 80% speed reduction paired with paralyzed.
I also want to point at pilgrammed. While there’s no prominent pvp scene there, poise damage was not applied to players because giving ridiculous stun builds even more stun is not fair. Even in PILGRAMMED, where combat is grounded and thus hits will land way more often, the concept of poise-breaking players is not acceptable.
But this is getting implemented in AO, a game with fast paced combat. Poise-breaking and hitstun will slow the game’s PvP pace to a Firm halt. This feature is against the very essence of AO combat, and will only be a point of complaint for everyone.
- I stand against stun warlocks being even more cancerous to fight.
my Agility-focused Juggernaut is about to be transgender after this update.
…what? I think it would be more of a homing missile no?

If only I had brisk scrolls…
Read “Further Disclaimer”, thank you
I’m hoping he makes it so Shot and Axe-Slash (and any further ranged options they get) ignore this, so the only ranged options they have don’t become 100% useless.
on another note: this means Warlock is now the best strength class, as they have extremely strong close range, and extremely strong long range.
Any competent player will know how to stay away, But stun builds will Completely halt movement. If you think applying paralyzed and hitstun is fair, you’re likely not considering the fact that they are still viable with a 50% stun.
All I’m saying is, you already starting a poll is what vetex meant in his disclaimer
jug now right? uh whats gonna happen to the defence
