I hope the building team gets to decorate kingdom islands like Sameria and the Nimbus Lands. They’re really good at filling space with interesting stuff.

I understand Vetex needs to build kingdom islands himself since the layout and locations must be exact for the planned story parts to function, but I think he could bring on others to add finishing touches still.

I think the brig spawning being on by default would help new players. I doubt everyone knows about the bed, since it’s kinda tucked away in a tiny enclosure within the quarters, and not everyone might walk up to it and see the prompt. I think some players don’t even know they can go inside the quarters, believe it or not. Automatically spawning players at the bed by default will help introduce them to the mechanic.

An important note should be brought up.
Prior to Empires update, EVERY ship spawned you on itself when you died in non story sea. Not just brig.
So if you had quest to go to Mistral, and you died in bronze sea high up on cirrus, you would respawn on your trusty ketch that is docked near stepstone.

I don’t think that’s how this is going to work. Vetex only says the spawnpoints inside the Brig and future bigger ships will be on by default. For smaller ships like the Ketch, it’ll probably still be sent back to the sea border with you on it like it always did.
