Ahh I guess so, but it can’t hurt to add Spirit Weapon obtainment methods that are quicker to implement en masse than minibosses. Which, now that I think about it, Ghost Ships probably aren’t
Okay, I should be using a different point. Variety in obtainment methods is very important. It’s going to be EXTREMELY hard and unintuitive for new players to get Spirit Weapons if random-spawning minibosses are the only way.
1/4 droprates aren’t enough when there’s armor drops mixed in with the weapon, and it’ll be harder to farm minibosses the more are added since the one you wanna farm might not be the one that respawns. Some players who don’t get a drop on the first try might not even realize that these bosses drop something, let alone a Spirit Weapon. They might not know minibosses are any different from regular bounty NPCs at all!
The “guidebook” feature should help, but there’s still the difficulty issue. No build has unlocking new abilities as hard as Oracle. It’s going to be a huge problem unless easier and more common obtainment methods are added, like Spirit Weapons findable in secrets on islands (similar to the visigoth set and rusty zweihander), or Ghost Ship loot.
You know how bounty boards sometimes have little notes like “Known rival of [player]”
I think there should be notes like that, but with stuff like “Wielder of a unique Strength Weapon” or “Wielder of a unique Spirit Weapon.” Maybe with something like “Should you defeat them, you may be allowed to keep the weapon along with your reward” to really spell it out for new players that this is how you get stuff for your build.
Also, Warlords and Spirit builds should get improved droprates for weapons that correlate with their build. Maybe even guaranteed, but only for the first kill.
Might be realism, which I can at least understand somewhat. You ever use a bar of soap before? That stuff runs out quickly, and even then it barely does anything!
…or maybe I’m just not using it right, and I’m certified stupid.
