why did vetex intend agility to be solely used for exploration when all other stats influence PvP?
ig it’s a good call to turn it into a jewel boost since those are for miscellaneous purpose, but adding conditions to them (like swimming potency being halved in combat) doesn’t feel intuitive all while being cheap.

jump height will probably be a jewel effect
as long as there will still be a way of getting instant high jumps, I’ll be okay with the change
maybe have it be like a focus or aura option that increases your movement speed temporarily or something

vetex adds a stat that affects a lot of different movement based skills
vetex adds more movement related skills that get affected by this stat
fights become long because of one movement based skill (people can also leave combat easily using this skill)
vetex removes the entire stat
agility deserves better
There is pretty much no valid point to remove agility, and saying that “the only ones being angry about it are the ones abusing it” is so hypocritical when he has only done changes that are good for pvpheads (not pvpers, pvpheads).

I’m out here making max agility and max swim speed builds because it’s fun to move fast, but because of overworld PvP, we can’t have that.
I somewhat understand the reasoning behind its removal, but the reasoning itself seems flawed at first. Overworld PvP is causing a lot of problems with the game -some of which might be cursed- so why have the problems in the first place?
I’m going to stop complaining because this isn’t really about patch notes, doesn’t provide anything constructive other than a rant, and will likely be called out as ‘doom-posting’ (I live on doom island, it’s my culture).

reference to the silksong cake incident, when a dev thats been silent for years said “something big tomorrow, keep your eyes closed”, and the switch 2 got revealed the day after in Australia (country where he lives)
a lot of people thought this meant silksong news (been announced for like 6 years and all we’ve gotten is “hey we’re alive” a couple times and a new trailer in 2022), but then one of the other devs came out and said it was a ton of coincidences and there was no news
tbh it was one of my favourite features, it was fun to be able to gauge the power levels of npcs and players, felt very magicky
