Full Release Update Patch Notes (Discussion Thread)

It will, i can guarantee that itll be perfect for cheesing npcs. Not to mention how fast projectile moves are pretty nice for pve anyways, especially if they deal good dmg

It was broken op on release but tbf this version likely doesnt win clashes 100% of the time like the original version of raging storm. But even after the nerf it wasnt that good, but that wasnt because of having to have someone stand still, it was because magic was just superior to weapons. More flexibility (more abilities and more ability types), better dmg and better & more accessible gear. You could still pretty easily hit people with raging storm afterall and for pve it actually was pretty good. Problem was that magic was just too op compared to weapons

I think in the trello it mentioned it having a ground and air variant. Might be thinking of something else with Dragon in the name though.

you’re thinkin bout the cooler rising tide one, im talking about the exiled one

Dragon song I think goes up on the ground and down in the air

It’s warrior’s surge essentially

I don’t think it best to argue with that guy, he is living in his own delusional mindset

berserker’s surge:

While I do think agility should be replaced with something else potentially, I’m not sure about accuracy as the replacement tbh

I feel like accuracy could potentially make using melee skills a lot more annoying if it auto aims those as well, and otherwise it might make fighting against multiple people much harder depending on how it’s implemented.

Aside from that, I feel like it could also make people more annoyed than agility and have players more toxic towards those using it. The difference is that they would insult them for having a “skill issue” for having to use auto aim rather than having a “skill issue” for having to run away instead of fighting.

Granted, I think accuracy could make sense as something else, maybe as a new mode type instead of a stat that scales, but other than that I’m not sure what else.

you made me imagine a zerker flying towards a moving target like superman :sob:

well that’s a terrifying thing to imagine

i feel like max accuracy would feel like npc aimbot or better

accuracy would be an absolutely horribly broken overpowered stat, especially for arena combat.

the main meta builds in arena combat right now focus on consistency of attacks via size and speed. if you have a really big magic, in order to hit more consistently you should focus on speed, and vice versa.

accuracy, on the other hand, increases consistency directly. it’s like size and speed in one.

it would easily be the most overpowered stat in the game unless it was completely gutted and useless.

accuracy would make more sense as something from a skill tree and not a base stat (in addition to homing possibly being detrimental to aim)

I disagree. I think it should either not happen, or it should come with a targeting system where the closest person to your mouse becomes the target of homing and array, not just the closest person when it happens.

i feel like a lot of the issue from making it too versatile of a scalar stat would be what would a high accuracy build look like? as it’s more potent, does it follow you around, or takes sharper turns? i think the targeting system you mentioned was the idea how it’d be implemented though, i was more referring to if you wanted to shoot at a specific point instead of a player/npc

WAIT!!! GUYS! We’ve all been guessing it’s the new fstyles, but what if it’s -30 stat reqs on all base techniques?

(I’m extremely desperate and drenching in copium)

There’s no way Vetex is gonna keep it vetoed forever, right…? Not after every other build has m1s and a 0-cost skill from the start. And not now that he has a dev team that can do the work for him (in case the reason is because it’s boring, tedious, or hard to figure out how to implement)

I mean, considering what fighting styles are like, to be honest it would be a bit weird if we could immediately use crash. (crash is quite an odd skill compared to other “beginning” skills)
Maybe make it like 5 strength [to unlock crash]? Something so small it barely matters, but still something that doesn’t let you use it the moment you spawn.
Weapons aren’t instantly obtained on file creation, which is why I don’t consider some of their skills to be as weird to have so early

a,
My opinion on how it should be

Accuracy shouldn’t lock on unless they are close to the projectile

you do gain a dagger on file creation

this just seems like a less effective version of attack size though if you’re basing it on a larger bound
