Guess it is too soft to be used for shields, but honestly no idea other than that.
why not deluxe actually, i get the ranged weapons being different but why not make it match the other weapons

nah some generic weapons have variants with different stats; for example i believe the cutlass has more speed but less size than a sword, trident has less speed but more damage than a spear, stuff like that
I saw one of the hints say that different weapons in the same category have different ults, but maybe that was just me or it was scrapped.
Yeah it was in the trello too, originally different weapons in the same category were going to have their skills in a different order. Just tiny switcheroos. This has never been seen in practice though, and is probably scrapped now that weapon disarming is a thing.

Nothing at all yet; Vetex’s estimate when the Empires Update released at the end of September was “no less than 7 months”, so the absolute earliest I would expect it is April-May. In my own opinion, I suspect it will take bit longer than that though.
I have just received fantastic news from my inside man at Vetex Games HQ. Due to the great work the devs have been doing, the Full Release of Arcane Odyssey will be early, and the day it will release will be February 29, 2025.
i could wait till summer with all the work and content the team putting in
