Im so happy we are getting moving npcs again. I think the one issue Ive really had with ao is how stagnant the world feels. Like wom felt like some alive thing and time progressed in it even when you were not doing “storyline” quests

I’m glad that now the npcs don’t (or at least shouldn’t) lag the game now & that they aren’t able to give quests (LITERALLY MY BIGGEST GRIPE WITH WoM I HATED THAT THEY GAVE QUESTS AND COULDNT BE WOKEN UP EVEN IF YOU HAVE A COMPLETED ONE)

i do hope they give some quests of some sort, because i really really hate most of the ways of getting xp that are currently in the game, the standard quests arent enough

I would like to see “kill the bandits/bandit outposts” quests from them! Maybe only make them choose places in the general region though and not 3999 meters away

If they do give quests they should at least have some more variety than find lost item, kill bandit/kill edgy wizard guy, get my package and such, as well as not requiring you to go back to the NPC after

throwback to WoM when I used to kill the negative renown quest-givers right after accepting their quests so I wouldn’t have to come back to them after completing their quests :frcryin:

He should use 8 gb ram office laptop that’s 5 years old

I once had a glitch where I got a positive rep quest to deliver a letter to a wanted merchant who had a negative rep. I couldn’t do it since I couldn’t speak to them so instead I just killed them at that seemed to work.

Pretty sure I got hired by some undercover bell village mafia or something to take down someone who didn’t meet a deadlines

it’d be cool if we got specific goofy ones like quest that makes you bring a specific npc to low hp but not death because they spat on the petty quest giver

or maybe the generic sink _ pirate ships or kill _ pirates

I think there might be one more thing added to this tonight, but this is the whole patch note rn. I am kinda wondering how that last thing mentioned in the bug fixes will look with the client side part in mind.

Why is vetex working on this instead of actual content??? 1/4th of a month gone on client sided NPCs :frowning::frowning::frowning::frowning:

Vetex is literally addressing one of the biggest complaints about AO when compared to WoM

erm as you can see in the currently working tab him and tech are stilll figuring out the story!!! so hes probaly just doing easier stuff to pass time until the big islands and probaly a boss gets added

Still would rather have content, and when does he care about the peoples complaints??? Heard of he Hecate Essence veto?

That was an example I gave, so yeah. He could’ve done optimization (which I just find good as new content) instead of adding memory leak 738,739 and 740

They are more optimized (as in there are way more and not as much lag), BUT, I am looking into a potential slight lag increase.

A slight bit more lag for me might mean death to someone else. It could be nothing however, as I seem to be the only one experiencing it.
