dumbass you are in the wrong house
That’s actually pretty interesting (ðough you probably shouldn’t be sharing ðat kinda thing on the internet for all to see), but now relating to Macau, i quickly searched on wikipedia (which i believe is not a bad source on most things) and ðey seem to support ultra’s linked website to an extent, i’d make a summary of it but it’s a pretty short read so i’ll just link it here
you choose what you want to believe then. Personally I put more trust in my family’s word than the internet, and also their story is much more hilarious.
Out of curiosity, why do you use ⟨Ð⟩ but not ⟨Þ⟩? Also, what was your old username?
I used eð only because i think þorn is less obvious to the layperson (also why i didn’t use yoȝ), my old username was gray_wool or something to that effect.
Sure, ðis is a pretty harmless thing, i’ll agree to disagree
You all thought I stopped with the Timor-Leste facts, didn’t you? Ha, you fools! You bafoons! You utter bafools! You cannot escape the Timor-Leste fun facts!! This one also includes Australia being an asshole (as per usual).
Fun Timor-Leste fact:
Timor-Leste is one of the poorest countries in Asia. The Australian government has exploited Timor-Leste and has broken international law to force the country into unfair treaties that benefit Australian business interests. To quote Mari Alkatiri, “Timor-Leste loses $1 million a day due to Australia’s unlawful exploitation of resources in the disputed area. Timor-Leste cannot be deprived of its rights or territory because of a crime.” The literal Hague ended up getting involved.
From Wikipedia:
Witness K, a former senior ASIS intelligence officer who led the bugging operation, confidentially noted in 2012 the Australian Government had accessed top-secret high-level discussions in Dili and exploited this during negotiations of the Timor Sea Treaty. The treaty was superseded by the signing of the Treaty on Certain Maritime Arrangements in the Timor Sea (CMATS) which restricted further sea claims by East Timor until 2057.
When the espionage became known, East Timor rejected the Timor Sea treaty, and referred the matter to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague. Timor’s lawyers, including Bernard Collaery, intended to call Witness K as a confidential witness in an ‘in camera’ hearing in March 2014. However, in December 2013 the homes and office of both Witness K and his lawyer Bernard Collaery were raided and searched by ASIO and Australian Federal Police, and many legal documents were confiscated. East Timor immediately sought an order from the ICJ for the sealing and return of the documents. In March 2014, the ICJ ordered Australia to stop spying on East Timor.
On 9 February 2022 ABC reports that documents filed in court claims that Australia may have been monitoring the phone calls of political leaders in East Timor since 2000.
That’s awful. Large governments tend to be corrupt like that cough cough the United States federal government cough cough.
Please more Timor-Leste facts
Timor-Leste gained independence from Indonesia in 2002. If you work/live/go to school in a building that was built before 2002 (which is likely), then any world maps that might be in those buildings could have been printed before Timor-Leste became a country. Thus, you can figure out how old a map is by looking at the island of Timor on a map. If Timor-Leste is on it, then that map was made after 2002. If Timor-Leste is not, the map was made before 2002. You can use this trick to bully your teachers for having outdated world maps.
Some other recent border changes are Macedonia (gained independence from Yugoslavia in 1993, renamed to North Macedonia in 2019), Zaire (became the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1997), South Sudan (gained independence from Sudan in 2011), and Eswatini (renamed from Swaziland in 2018). You can use tidbits like these to guess the age of modern maps (or you could just look at the copyright date).

Where do you get all of these facts from?
For the third fact, I was researching recent border changes after noticing Yugoslavia on a map at my school (the USSR wasn’t on it). I found the first fact when researching the third. For the second one, I saw a video by The Juice Media (link here).
This is way worse than that one river that translates to “River River”
