Funky block build

I know that this won’t be particularly viable, but what is the highest blockpower you can get just with jewel crafting?

right now it’s about 93% if you go full double fused blocking musgravites with the jewel amulet and full 3 jewel slot items
but it’s getting nerfed to be capped at 50% next balance patch so I don’t think it’s worth investing into it

ANYTHING for that extra playtime prenium payouts ig. This isnt even the first time that they have pulled this shit, make something players grind for and nerf it to the ground a couple updates later. the fact that there wasnt a hotfix means its fully intentional. I am beyond tired of this siht.

So nerfs are a conspiracy to get people to play longer for more money, ignoring the games outside of Roblox that have had player strategies get nerfed without the “premium payouts” as a suggested incentive? I don’t have to be reminded that children play Roblox, and thus may not know that games other than the ones on Roblox exist, but thanks for the reminder anyways.

… 93% block power makes it to where you don’t even need to parry to obtain +95% DR. Of course it had to be nerfed— that’s obviously unfair. Infact, this forces less annoying grinding, as now you don’t need 93% blocking power to play the game.

This is just basic balancing— there’s only so much you can test and update alongisde having to think about and implement new features.

technically— you could just run a speed magic mage build, and spend any moment your opponent isn’t attacking in your direct using any amount of skills that persist for a while; like Elemental Construct and Pulsar.

Regardless of what you do, It’d just be annoying to fight— imagine if they built Regen and healed for more than you could hit in 90% of situations.

Unironically? Yeah. Hotfixes should fix theswethings a week after release, max. The cycle goes: broken things releases –> it takes 1 month+ to fix –> gets nerfed to the ground and the grind to get it is not worth it anymore. With enough testing and developement time there is no reason this shouldnt be fixed before release.

This is part of a greater conspiracy I believe in where certain parts of the game are made as janky and annoying as possible to increase playtime (dark sea, magic reset, etc)

AO has a lot of scattered mechanics… Even large Dev teams might struggle to find every damn thing. It’s unreasonable to assume that you could predict everything that a group of 10k “Playtesters” might figure out with a team of like… 30.

Everybody could’ve just been working on other projects, and would’ve had to ocme back to fix this problem once it started actually being a problem.

That wouldnt be a problem if testers werent just vetex’ friends… many people would be good testers if applications were opened. That said, he does sometimes just refuse to change things even with testing from what Ive heard… :st3: :confused:
