What types of quests do you guys think will come in the future? And what types would you want to be added.
I’m definitely interested in “escort convoy” type of quest, with some flavour added to it that the convoy might be attacked by certain NPC in the game and you have to defend/protect the convoy.
Maybe rare long-term quests that take longer than the simple kill quests. For example taking down a criminal organization or a guild of varying reputations.
Since the game has the clear dichotomy of MC vs bandits/dark wizards, it’d be cool if random npc battlefronts broke out (around towns or in the wilderness near camps), and if you were nearby you could talk to npcs there and they’d give quests like “Destroy 2 Magic Council watchtowers” or “Kill 10 bandits”. I feel it’d make the game feel a lot more alive, and since random landmark generation is already a big part of the game it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch
Quests to protect certain towns and stop threats in certain towns, almost like bounty hunting but instead it would be given to you by people in the town or neighboring towns. They would ask you to please save their town or something like that, just to reward players who are constantly stopping the threats that are being caused.
Quests to take out specific buildings and protect specific buildings. Stuff like a negative reputation person being sent to rob a bank while a good reputation person is sent to protect the bank. Whoever wins gets a big, useful reward (since it would probably be harder than all listed quest types)
Some sort of quest where mc attacks a camp and you have to protect it.
Not sure if legendary quests will be like this, but i’d really like for one of the most rewarding quests to be multi-part quests that take you on an adventure across multiple different areas of Magius.
Oh yeah, it’d be really cool for an evil player to be sent in to rob a building, while a good player is simulataenously guarding it. really cool quest idea.
have 10 fetch quests in one npc that will give you the quest, to make it short. the npc will give you fetch quests like 10 of them
Maybe a couple that’s been on my mind that would be world based events which reward a ton of exp.
Dark Wizard Raid
Good Rep players objective is to fend of all Dark Wizards who appear to destroy the town.
Bad Rep players objective is to assist the Dark Wizards in their objective. They vary from killing the mayor to destroying a certain building or boats in harbor etc.
I would love to see multi part quests. Currently the quests are kill X Then return. I can’t think of what but it would be nice to see quests that have multiple stages to it.
Another one would be to help a magic guard scout defend the camp from a few waves of dark wizards or bandits. It would Apprentice level Or possible higher the more difficult. It’s pretty straight forward: defend the camp
I would like quests that would involve defeating players.
While that sounds cool, I feel that could be a bit hard. The map is quite big, I rarely find people walking around.
Also how would that work with the quest tracker?
I can see it being annoying to have this 1 guy keep chasing you and knowing exactly where you are.
Same, those would be fun to do.
An example of a player combat quest is bounty hunting. You could talk to a npc who tells you the general location of your target and you have to find the target yourself. Maybe instead of a specific NPC, it could be magic council bounty posts in every town and sometimes near roads.
So like, “Evil Guy is in Summer Hold.” rather than it giving you a map marker
Yes that would be good. If they ever add bounty hunting, they should just make a quest wich is to get 1 criminal instead of making it only 1. This way it would be easier to find a criminal.
Also would tell you where some are (Summer Hold, Riverville etc)
Some sort of reinforcements quest. For example the MC are losing a battle and need help so they call u in for help.
maybe like scouting the area around a certain area, find out if any people of the other alignment are there and if they are able to be killed/defeated or not, if a threat is found then you report back to them and get your reward.
You would get extra rewards if you removed the threat yourself. (note you dont even have to kill them if theyre too strong, you could just kite them out of that area)
For bad reps, I think infiltrating and robbing places where the Magic Council resides could be a pretty fun quest- maybe for positive reps you would have to find a bandit in disguise who is posing as a Magic Council member and defeat them. Just some rough ideas :3
