I feel like the reason it won is because the antics that happens in the show would actually happen in one of the games (and it is constantly referencing stupid game mechanics). Arcane on the other hand is just a tv show that also has characters from league of legends as far as I’m aware, not a show about league of legends as a game. Which itself does not seem like something easily to adapt because league of legends is league of legends. That’s like making a fortnite show I think
Just to clarify I am not saying the fallout show is a better show, I am saying it’s a better adaptation, but take my opinion lightly because I’ve only seen clips of arcane and 2 episodes of the fallout show (and clips too I guess)
Erm actually fortnite does have a story. So basically there’s this organization that took control of the island, and the island has the powerful energy sphere inside that links universes. This organization exploits it and makes people stuck in loop of fighting, they have to win to break free. At some point, this guy part of a special hero team appears in a meteor, and lands on the island. He builds a rocket to escape, and creates a giant crack in the sky which then a giant purple cube pops out of. This cube moves to a lake that covers the energy sphere, and explodes. Then a glacier crashes into the island and this ice King man has a fire king as his prisoner, who breaks out, and runs away. Then a volcano forms because of fire king and it erupts and breaks stuff, including cracking the glacier, causing a monster to break free. The secret organization knew of this and built a mech to fight the monster. The mech wins but the energy sphere is exposed! Reality goes nuts and stuff is appearing everywhere, including the meteor from a while ago. The rest of the hero team arrives and crash their space ships into the energy sphere, and then the meteor hits it, creating a black hole that destroys the island, and then a new island forms. This is just the first part of the story.

oh yeah also its really fucked up that they announced a game that’s self proclaimed triple A, filled with ai slop, with not a single second of gameplay shown, whose dev’s first game, with nothing known about the devs and a steam description that is just rambling
