General annoyances with magics

So, rare Flem post here- took a bit of a break from playing because my computer still shits itself from the immense lag this game causes and has now decided that randomly bluescreening in the middle of pvp would be hilarious (it is not.) like the jolly little goober it is.

Merry christmas and new year, by the way.

Anyway, let me get to the point- tried the Yule event, absolutely loved it and it is genuennly some great work questwise (even though just trekking was a bit annoying, i love fishing more but thatd get me lynched by the fishing haters (smh)) but then… came the fights.

And even though they were alright, they did show an issue to me that i had already subcounciously noticed- or better said, two seperate ones.

For one, enemies and aimbot and attack cooldowns.
Very noticable with the fire lads.

Whenever one dodges while they fire a salve of arrows, said just follow you- quite insistently- and turn you into a pine cone. While i miss most of my hits on them, running a bow as well, they do not care that much for jittering- and land near every hit.

What.

This applies to enemies with guns too! :]
How jolly.

Then, they also spamm abilities of different types far quicker than a human could- from magic to arrow hailing, there is not one attack window and if you fight them solo- well, better hope you do not have low HP or have a camp set up.

Now, i love difficulty. I am a Limbus Company player, why wouldn’t i enjoy difficulty.
But said difficulty… can not stem from such and it does seem quite an issue with other bosses as well- little attack windows, hard to determine if they can aimbot with certain attacks, et cetera.

Then, the secondary issue i was already aware of- some magics are simply weaker against npcs than against players.
How, one may be asking?

Lets take light magic as prime example!
It brightens ones screen to a flashbanging level quite quickly, but what does it actually do to NPCs?

Well, apparently they miss more ranged attacks.
Is this noticable? Not really, no.
How can one fix this? No plan.

I’d love some minor effect revamps that make PVE with such effects actually a viable thing- some builds have only some viability in the long run and it would bring a lot more build diversity into the PVE area of the game if one could say, blind enemies for longer using the funni sand stuff or other effects.

I am not aware which other magics the effect issue happens to affect too- i noticed that acid has a MAJOR advantage due to its area covering effects personally as players may avoid such, but npcs just kinda run into it and kick the bucket.
If anyone would be aware so i would be able to make a conclusive list of which magics work best/worst (haha tierlist) in PVE scenarios only, that would be so very jolly.

Merry holidays. :3

Oh also, here, for everyones jolly misfortune: Nessa Heart but in her winter outfit.

As someone who completed this event as a juggernaut, fighting the renegade toymakers was not fun

My condolences.

Natasha really exemplifies the issues with fighting magic criminals or more specifically ranged criminals

I still haven’t got past the renegades

No way do we have the same pc!?

I tried the event blind with my lvl 41 file
I got my ass ganked by 6 lvl 50 snowmen

cries in being poor and having like 400 hp

Add an inaccuracy multiplier for every stack of the status effect that obscures your vision

cries in acid user (it’s on savant file, so I have no size to compensate)

Guys its not that deep just set a camp marker on toymaker isle and kill 1 renegade at a time, problem solved!

No worries, size is not all that matters! :3

thats what she said

To you? Certainly <3

Anyway Flem roasting shall be deactivated now
