Gilgamesh is out in ABA

Normally don’t care that much about new ABA characters but it’s GILGAMESH.
Here’s the problem, though:

  1. I don’t want to spend more money on robux (broke).
  2. I don’t have enough robux to confidently say I’ll be able to afford Deepwoken when it comes out if I spend money on ABA currency.
  3. Gilgamesh looks really fucking cool to play.

So I’m in a bit of a dilemma here. I know I could just grind, but do you know how long it takes to get 1k on ABA by grinding? Not up to a day, but I’d have to stay playing for up to or more than 3 hours. And I need 2k. Too lazy.

It does sound cool but I have a huge skill issue in ABA, I always get thrashed at least 3 times before I manage to get 1 kill

I’d say I’m decent but nothing above that.
Can’t consistently get 100 points in ranked, my max is usually 70 ~ 85 before I start winning at the same rate I lose.

Getting laughed at for not getting 100 points in ABA discord is not fun lol.

But yeah, I’d say you’re like the majority of players, idk I didn’t do anything special to get better I just kind of played and stopped sucking after a month or two.

Yeah I really need to play more as well, I think my main issue is that I’m not used to the controls at all, I feel like if the block and such was changed then I’d probably perform better

What key for blocking are you most used to?
I had the advantage in that case because most games I’ve played had blocking allocated to the F or E key.

Same thing goes for dash.

It’s weird for me since I play a few games with different keys for blocking but I’d say the F or G key is the ones I’m most used to

What can I say lol, I mean Gon is really good in anything except 1v1s and I play 1v1s most of the time. If you run 2v2s and one of you is a Gon, you should win most of the time (usually the opponents will just target the Gon though).

Really, if a Gon gets close to you, he’s probably using Rock or Scissors, Scissors has more startup time so just jump if you notice it.

Rock does shit tons of damage but it’s blockable and really predictable.

Paper is paper, projectile is slow enough that at a distance blocking should be no problem. In close range it’s the same issue with Rock.

Gold skins do look horrendous, though. I don’t know why that was added. Probably just as a flex or something.

Imo there should be daily/weekly missions in the game. Like “kill someone with ___ character” and shit like that. Right now the grind is really bad.

My experience playing aba usually goes like this either I fucking dominate in a 1v1 or I get dominated.

As for my opinion on gilgamesh he’s definitely fun to use but I’m not use to him yet. He’s definitely good for countering moves too which is definitely fun.

Fr, sometimes I do decently but most of the time I get one-two shot, which is one of the reasons why I barely play
