Considering we will have 738 last names, iāll be guessing the last name for the shadow user. Anyways here I go:
The Rivera family, known for being extraordinary on anything related to wars throughout the generations. All of them were intelligent, brave, strong and good at both magic and weapons, in other words, they have the blood capable of leading an army to victory. Because of this, every person born in the Rivera family becomes a captain in the Grand Navy except for one, Korel Rivera.
Korel wanted to have a normal life that isnt related to wars, donāt misunderstand though, Korel has inherited the blood of the Rivera, in other words, heās an elite as well. While training, a thought came to his mind, " Why donāt I become a traveller and sail through the seas? ", this sparked the goal that Korel wants to achieve. He thought of a plan to avoid becoming a captain of the Grand Navy and achieve what he wanted.
Korel will act like heās getting worse at his studies to lower his reputation on being an elite in the family, which should eventually lead to his family disowning him. Although he still need to learn and train so that he can survive on his own so he waited for the time when his magic awakens. The plan would also be more effective if the magic he got is something that doesnt stand out and has little synergy with other magic, leaving him only to hope for getting glass, light and shadow.
Years has passed and the time has come for his magic to awaken. Korel hoped for getting either one of the three magic that he needs. Bingo, he got one of the magic that least stands out, shadow, and so proceeded to the plan. When his family noticed heās getting worse and worse, it started to affect their reputation, because of this, they only had one option to keep their reputation as it is, disown Korel and delete records of him being part of the Rivera family, like as if he never existed to begin with.
The plan went perfectly as he wanted and eventually he was kicked out of the house. They didnt give him anything as they wanted him dead for being a disgrace of the Rivera family, although they arenāt that cruel so they gave him mercy and let Korel survive on his own. Korel first made up a new family name, Fjortel, since people with no family name is considered as a failure which would make it harder for Korel to earn Galleons if heās going to travel the seas. He then went to find a job thatās suited for his goal and so thought of becoming a merchant.
Heāll need something to sell if he wants to be a merchant, however he doesnt want to obtain them through evil means and so thought of finding a den of thieves and āborrowā what they stole. He sold everything he got from them and eventually obtained a boat which is what he needed to travel the seas. Years has passed and heās doing well on his own. Eventually, he has started to find a love interest and it was a girl from an island on his travels. The girl also had the same feelings towards Korel and this gave Korel a higher chance to make her his bride and create a family of his own.

Once, there was this kid named Shadow Jr. Mastr4rrrr3ce Lorde, a weird name, his father was a Shitposter, and he was hard bullied at school, he became depressed since all he was called in school was āedgy, cringe nameā guy, due to him being coincidentally born with shadow magic, he turned depressed and decided to train, reading books and strenghtening his magic, he didnāt want to become a cool kid, and more, he was scared of becoming edgy.
Spending nights reading heroic books, romances, myths and fairy tales, while training his magic skills. His father, Shadow Mastr4rrrr3ce saw his childās effort from the windows while he was reading the newspaper and quickly came up to him saying:
ā- 1f y0u w4nt t0 be th3 m0st 1337 kewl k1d, c0me to p4p4 1āll t33ch u, y0uāll n33d t0 pr0t3ct y0urself KEKW.ā A strange move, he never did that before.
His son, puzzled by fatherās words, that man wasnāt much of speaking and when he talked it felt like he said nothing, but Shadow Jr. seemingly understood the meaning, so he spent more nights, now training magic with his father and reading books recommended by his mother, Julia Lorde, after weeks, he felt ready.
The next day, he went to school normally, used to being bullied as always, no longer depressed and sad however. Walking normally, heads up, ready to survive another day in school, he suddenly heard screams coming from a nearby alley, running over there he saw a strange figure with holding a knife was assaulting one of his bullies, quickly! Shadow Jr. instantly unleashed his magic energy and the alley turned darkā¦ The bandit, startled, turned around and saw a strange figure in the now dark alley, and he heard in a high voice:
-āźŅ½Ä ѵŅ½ Õ°Ć¬Ź Ä ÓÖ Õ²Ņ½!ā The young bandit got so scared he ran away screaming:
-āAaaa-ah! Demon!! Iām sorry, Iām sorry! Iāll never do it again I promise!ā
The bully, severely wounded, now looking towards Shadow Jr. not recognizing him due to the shadowy area that surrounded him, also started screaming and shaking desperately, not hearing his previous words.
Shadow Jr. quickly turned off his shadowy aura, and calmed the bully, leaning down and reaching out to him:
-āItās me, itās me, donāt worry.ā
The bully recognized the voice, and shaking while suffering from grave wounds said:
-āT-thank y-ou!sniff cough sniffā
This history would spread quickly through school, even reaching out to the newspaper, Shadow Jr. was now a hero, since apparently the āBanditā, later captured due to reports, was a Serial Killer that attacked many children from the area before, his enemies turned into allies, his father and mother were greatly proud of his actions.
Shadow Jr. Mastr4rrrr3ce Lorde would grow up into a renowed wandering hero, helping out those in need and fighting the Dark Arts Society whenever he could alongside the Magic Council and others with the same heroic background as him.

Although he used Shadow Magic, (name) was actually quite the optimist. They loved all things color, and were quite bummed to have Shadow Magicā¦ until they realized that black and grey are pretty colors!
Annie Water grew up in a big family with colorful magic. When it was time for her own magic to appear, however, she got shadow magic. Annie was a bit disappointed, as she was really looking forward to getting something bright and cool, like plasma or lightning. But as she continued learning how to use her magic, Annie realized that shadow magic was cool in its own way. She was able to temporarily block the ability to see colors on people who got hit, and, after learning about how so many shadow users were just plain edgy and boring, Annie vowed to become the most influential and optimistic shadow user to ever exist.
As time went on, Annie grew into a strong and capable shadow wielder. She studied hard and got good results on almost everything, and her family was astounded at how Annie persevered with shadow magic, despite it not going well with other magic, save for light. It wasnāt many years after Annieās magic awakened that she was able to join the Magic Council (yes i know the name is going to be different just go with this the whole thing is improv) and rose in rank. Annie became a notable and well-known wizard throughout the continent of Magius, and she managed to indirectly influence other young shadow users into being like her.
To this day, Annie Water does her best to maintain peace, making sure she always used her power for good and for others.
