i know you’ve been around the monad community but you clearly haven’t been around long so ill give you a rundown (you won’t understand, so this is a massive waste of my time which i hope you’ll be grateful for)
skip back to 2019. rogue lineage has been thriving so a massive update is coming. this update is known as “update ultimate” which is advertised to basically be a new golden age of the game. however, this update comes with the release of private servers. once people have explored the new content, they start flocking to private servers. move forward to late 2020, a year later, and the actual overworld of the game is suffering and dying. it’s a game where you must kill others to progress, yet there are no others to kill. all combat has moved to private servers, a closed, controlled environment with no risks or losses of any kind. players are free to infinitely run back fights over and over, practicing, testing, running numbers, getting every mechanic of the game down to a fine science. this process ruined the once permadeath game with all sorts of one combos, infinite stuns, macros, etc. people might have found these things in time in the normal game, but it would’ve been in much more time outside of a controlled environment. private servers killed rogue lineage, and i am damn certain vetex will not make the same mistake. elysium is definitely a step in the wrong direction and it should permanently remain under lock and key by only trusted community members to hold events. giving it out to every entitled content creator who thinks they should get a title in every game is ludicrous.
