it makes you think youāre in a massive open world, there are terrain details such as bushes, texture in general and sand piles and such
Blox fruits is just really big yellow Part block with some small buildings that are probably taken from the roblox catalog cause the devs canāt build and like 3 chests
AO has depth, it has height
It makes things seem massive
In blox fruits youāre the one that looks bigger compared to others because it looks so bland, so empty
Ao has literal smaller islands that make up a larger one (goso jungle, munera garden, etc)

In AO, you can use the terrain to your advantage
Ganker hunting you in sameria? Go hide between the houses
In the bronze sea? Swim down
In blox fruits, you canāt do that because thereās literally nothing there

AO positives
-Storyline (doesnāt matter the quality, it has one)
-Ambience (More so regarding music, islands, etc.)
-Faction features (Blox Fruits only has a party, but AO has clan building, infamy hunting, etc.)
Blox Fruit positives
-Wide variety of fruits, weapons and fighting styles (AO also has this but at a lower scale due to it being a newer game)
AO negatives
-Buggy (Multiple unresolved bugs, but is slowly being fixed)
-Balancing issues (Come with each update, thereās always a meta)
-Little content post storyline (Also an issue with being a newer game, but overtime there will be a lot more content)
Blox Fruit negatives
-Pay to win
-Almost a gambling game (the fruits)
-Bandit beater
-No new content other than just levelling up
-No content after max level (basically the same issue that AO has)
-A grinding game (goes along with bandit beater, you just level up to keep levelling up)
Regarding grinding:
-Takes too much time to level up (even with x2)
-You need to be very willing/dedicated to farm
-Unfun (grinding has always been unfun for many)
Something you should also take into account is that
Player count does NOT equal being better. There are games that are objectively better than others even if they have lower player counts.
Example of bad but highly popular games: Blox fruits, brookhaven, adopt me.
Example of good but not popular games: Phighting (probably, it should be popular by now), Project Remix, Block tales (i think itās fairly rated currently but idk)
Just let them be convinced. No point changing their mind.

yeah, but 95% of these are practically unusable due to the lack of balancing. If you were to go play the game right now, most high level players would be using roughly the same build.
also that statement about AO having a less wide variety of options is just wrong, considering the amount of variation you can have with hybrid builds. (hybrid builds which are not viable in blox fruits due to bad balancing :3 )
ofc thereās a meta. meta is literally just the most effective tactic available, it came free with the game genre.

I just want to point out that there will be more variety with AO upon completion
I guess thatās fair, after all, the only reason Blox fruit is popular is because of children, its simplicity makes it a children magnet
