I see that on the market place golden apples are going as low as like 500 galleons now, why is that?
I think you may be able to grow them on clan islands via the reagent pots.

you are, they’re the slowest to grow though, only giving one per pot every 50 minutes
Still, it’s very good.
5 pots on one island means that you can get enough for one jewel in just 50 minutes
(and besides I do have a lot of videos to watch on a secondary monitor while waiting)
