I’m glad to see excitment over these news.
I still remember when Gender-bending potions were originally planned for AA
aight back from school
i came up with that idea in a few seconds so vetex with more time and game knowledge could definitely find a good way to fix/solve that issue. I would say having magic speed and size cap at like level 400 or lvl 500 would be a good idea. Anyways im glad we agree here
probably something based on the ratios between the speeds. Take for example a 0.6 speed magic (i think earth has 0.6 speed but not sure, just take any tho) compared to light (1.8 speed). Light could for example have magic speed work 3x less than on earth. Something like that. Tho again this would really have to be done by vetex who has more knowledge about the game and more time for it too.
Yk that last point of yours is pretty good too. Sadly i dont have any solutions to this so i cant really give you anything to work with. Hopefully vetex has a good answer for this.
Then for your off topic point
its a cool idea, but just like you said i agree that it probably wouldnt work.
and just like you im also very excited/interested in what ao will become. As far as the trello goes im amazed by what might/is going to be in the game
omfg yes
i think some of your concerns with magic speed and magic size will be alleviated when dodging is added
Why are you replying on an alt? Just use Nobanana
…what?
its a joke, vruuuuum has similar opinions as nobanana does when it comes to stat scaling on items
(although i doubt nobanana shares their opinions on magic size/speed)
Can’t we do something like instead of some crazy type stuff we just do something where you do this:
- Strength - Increases Melee attack damage and fighting style damage
- Magical - Increases magical damage and size
- Vitality - Increases resistance to temperature effects
- Agility - Increases speed and stamina
- Durability - Increases defense and slows down hunger
Just have all of these basic stats. Enchantments can be viewed as little magical stones that can be inserted onto weapon sockets which can buff their power. And you can take them off whenever needed for the basic customization.
Special magic attacks that you can create/unlock via skill trees uses the experience gathered by levelling and questing as well as destroying NPCs. I mean like, the EXP can go to levelling but there’s a separate amount of experience used as a type of ‘currency’ for upgrading and buying skills from different skill trees for either magics or different weapons or awakening tiers etc.
That would probably allow better customization and more flexibility for the creator to add in variable spells without completely overhauling the game mechanics. Cuz you just add more to the skill tree path.
The skill trees for magical attacks can probably be turned into customizable things that allow you to basically create spells from that based on the customization inside the skill (like creating magic spells) to make multiple for the same skill and then drag and drop the skill into some sort of slot for your main spell list in-game.
what about casting and magic speed
put it in magical.
but casting speed could possibly affect fighting styles
If you consider casting speed like that just put it in agility.
hate to be a debbie downer but that kinda sounds worse than what’s planned…
Especially this
Imma put 10000000000000000000000 stats into agility and become the fastest man alive!
and what’s wrong with that?
allows for more variable pvp
yeah but you’re only gonna be level 1000
;-;
also who wouldn’t want to be the flash?
s p E E d
hey do you think you could run across water though? no boats needed cuz speed?
Lol I was just thinking about that.
While it would be hilarious and cool, it would absolutely kill the point of the game and it’s sea based activities, so uhhh.
