I had the random thought, I wonder if greek characters like Oedipus or Medea exist in the world of Arcane.
(And I guess their build as well but meh)
I’d assume all characters that come from humans just aren’t around. The Arcane universe splits off pretty early in the Greek mythos, not like when Uranus was top dog or something, but it starts off before human civilization had even begun since humans had yet to have access to fire and instead were gifted magic. With this massive of a change so early on I just don’t think many common heroes or figures we’re aware of commonly in mythology are still around. I am no Greek expert, there could have been heroes or figures before this, but this is definitely the splitting point. Characters from before this are confirmed to have existed while the ones prior in the main Greek timeline are left either undecided or just flat out non-existent.
Tbh I wish the Arcane universe had more Greek inspiration behind it other than the Gods. I wanna see Chimeras n Gryphons, not just big sea creatures. Maybe that’s just me though. Hell they’re all probably dead from the like 3 global catastrophes that have occurred but I digress.

vetex did say that greek mythos doesnt have THAT MUCH of a major effect on story, so i dont expect any greek heroes to be in the world. if they are, they most definitely arent heroes
