This was a common misconception for a very long time, since it was never fully explained what the growth curse did. I’m pretty sure the Arcane Reborn wiki states this as the function of the curse which might be why so many believe it to be true
But you’re right, the curse is more related to the growth of plants and trees rather than sizes. Based on this sneak from Online Fighting, that’s probably always what the curse was meant to do
