If you fish a lot there is your answer, let fish rot then use bones
Or do anything and let your crew fish for you

I always buy Sky Apples and Cloudcap Mushrooms from the food merchant guy in the sky place every time I pass by otherwise yeah fishing. if you’ve got a merchant deckhand they sell reagents/catalysts sometimes which can be handy

for cooking set spawn at the sky island pumpkin, go to elius and get those pumpkin, die and repeat because they’ll respawn by then approx

for brewing buy something cheap like bones

fishing also gives fish to cook with bones

I personally just fish a lot and then get big fish time to time and bulk cook them or either using much rarer fruits I find in my journey (mostly golden fruit varients). For brewing I use each and every useless catalyst and reagent I have, or you can just get a island using the clan island capture flag tool and place 5 reagent pots in Cassia Bay and just farm natural reagents (Reagents that are found by clicking E and are visible).
