In terms of immersion maybe? It would just be more annoying and more of a hassle in terms of balancing I mean what if a play disconnects in combat accidentally? And the fact AO is fully progression based makes this seem far less challenging and more of an annoyance and pain in the ass. Loads of effort and all but it just wouldn’t make sense.

Arcane Odyssey Ironman. Deaths are disqualifications, leaving to avoid combat is disqualification, pvp off (when it comes) is disqualification. Record a full run to the level cap and complete the bronze sea. All footage MUST be captured, and done in a new, fresh file. Boss cheeses and exploits are not allowed, and your stats must be allocated before leaving Redwake and to Frostmill; you cannot go statless after this point to do blast + spirit blast + ranged weapons stuff.

pvp on servers are gonna be so annoying as when you’re doing the ironman challenge the gankers are gonna be so deprived that just playing in pvp on servers is a challenge in of itself
