A lot of these people in this topic seem to be not so ecstatic when it comes to MHA, and it’s understandable why. I’m just excited for the fight that’s about to happen in Season 6 (current season) and also Season 7 because it has my favorite character out of the whole series 
twitter sending death threats to the people who make mha because deku isnt gay immediately turned off any prospect of watching the anime, and i will now continue to watch nothing while i wait for one piece episodes to release
It started off good but kinda fell off post s3. All Might v All for One was thee peak of the show. Best thing to come past that is Miruko.
But aside from the queen of thighs it’s been pretty eh. S4 (iirc) had a fucking banger ending with endeavor fighting high end but I had pretty much forgotten everything else before that.
Story wise I feel like MHA has lost it’s identity. It used to be a story of a struggling guy, too good for the world and intentions too pure. He’s the definition of a “hero”. But a majority of the appeal was that he was an underdog. He wasn’t superman he was kickass but as the story went on they kinda removed him from the underdog role. Now he’s like the most OP person out there with half a dozen different powers because not even this shit
is top level anymore, he might as well be tickling people with a punch like that nowadays. It’s almost fucking absurd how people who haven’t gotten power boosts but were somewhat decent on their own originally are now just completely out fucking classed by the characters who do get focus.
The story worked fucking excellent as a coming of age story but now it’s blown out of proportion to the point where one character literally can rewrite fucking reality. Not talking about Eri’s power too, I mean an actual super hero who is basically bootleg superman.
Little rant but tldr it was fine until it exploded and the stakes were driven higher and higher and now it’s a fucking superpower international conflict involving some twink from high school.
Originally loved this show/anime/manga but now? Meh. Miruko still top though. Watched S6’s first two episodes just to see her in action against the group of high ends. Fucking queen.

yeah this pretty much sums it up, I will admit it’s hard to make an underdog main character as they have to shine somehow but Deku’s role as the underdog has essentially been thrown away.
you also have to consider the fact that it just couldn’t keep up the momentum, after overhaul was defeated at around the end of season 4 the show kind of just fell off and the popularity dropped.
the whole superhero thing was kind of bland to begin with and the power system basically just consists of random people get cool powers and do cool stuff instead of actual cool power systems (eg. JJK’s curse techniques or naruto’s ninjutsu)

It’s pretty enjoyable, I know a bunch of people that love it (and for good reason, it’s great)
I mean, I watched like, 4 seasons of that, and I had to stop from how boring it was.
Personally (Warning: opinion) it feels like a bunch of super ordinary tropes mashed together. also the power system is literally so boring, nen? really? and you can just like, make some weird haze around you make water sweet or turn it into gum, like the pedoph*le clown’s one, like all nen abilities are so boring I can’t
i havent watched hunter x hunter but i heard the story is pretty good. I mean it cant be bad considering its one of the best selling manga of all time and the anime is fairly popular too.

and yeah, even though i don’t read the manga i still feel like they went super-overboard with giving deku like 7 extra quirks. All Might isn’t like some planet-shattering god, but he’s an OP character written well, and I think Deku could have been like that too until he had the combined powers of Spider-Man, Superman, and the Flash. (at least that’s what i hear)
meh maybe it’s just not for me.
I also don’t like jjba but that’s for seperate reasons, mainly because the story and the stands get way too bizarre even for me
naruto is also kind of mid but that’s probably because I didn’t grow up watching that shit so like of course I’m not gonna enjoy it
I do like some animes though, like way of the house husband, OPM, one piece, anything from studio ghibi (bruh who doesn’t like studio ghibi tho fr), and like parasyte from a really long time ago
