This is exactly why my distaste for MHA started in Season 5(? I think that’s when he became spiderman), when he went 100% it was fine since it’s a very specific situation that he’d need toddler labor to replicate often, but when I saw them giving him like 9 different powers my first thought was “Why is he Goku now?”.
I refuse to watch further since there are just better anime, like Hajime no Ippo, that I can catch up on instead
I really liked MHA, I even bought 3 of the manga to read at home.
Then, I decided I would like to join the fanbase. Worst decision ever, honestly. It ruined a whole ton of the characters for me, and even just looking at the Fandom you could see a ton of spoilers(I guess that’s to be expected, though).

They’re all humans, however there’s a certain type of quirk that people are born with that gives them animal characteristics. The most popular examples of this are Deku’s classmates, Tsuyu (frog girl) and Fumikage (edgy bird guy)
A plot thread in the series is actually the racism against people with animal bodies, since a lot of them are seen as less than human. Groups have even been formed to spread propaganda against them (pretty wild considering that there are some absurd humans in the series)

She’s a girl the Deku saved once, and then a while later (light manga spoilers) The public began turning on deku cause he was wanted by the world’s most dangerous criminal so everyone refused to help him. But this girl had witnessed his heroism firsthand and was the first civilian to speak up for him and reach out to him. After that, I guess people began shipping them together or something.
