Mods do it themselves, it’s fine. They’ll just use it for themselves as well.
Yes you won’t get banned if the moderator is doing it also. 
Got to agree there, wouldn’t be right if they do it but stop you—especially since it’s not for testing or data purposes but gameplay.
skimming through the replies makes me think the only reason people are complaining are because they want them to release it publicly so THEY can use it, like some of the people here hypocritical as hell godamn
Well if you actually read it all and didn’t skim, you’ll realize that it’s not about the idea of the autofishing itself - but the availability of it. Especially with staff keeping it to themselves sounds extremely scummy (if you consider the fact that they had time to plan this out), it should be publicly available and be attained by everyone to not make a gap in playerbase and inventory value.
You can just release it publicly since mods BETTER be okay with it.

I converted to exploit format and macro format so don’t worry.
I would advise keeping the macro, and the macro only, as the public choice. Since you have your ROBLOX account linked, it wouldn’t be that good to release an exploit, lol.
i could probably try to use macro recorder to make something for afk fishing but im not a scumbag

Scripts aren’t macros. If using a fishing script is allowed, that sends a dangerous precedent for more harmful scripts, such as aimbot.

The time it takes for a fish to hook is randomized
It took me 3 days of trying new ideas, testing them overnight, and completely reprogramming them to get a fairly good, working auto fishing program. I still have some serious debugging to do, and much more to add, probably going to take me another good 1-2 days. I have some code experience with java and C++, languages like that, but in the process of making it I learned python, an entirely new language to me. If you guys don’t want to take the time to script it yourself, that is completely on you. You can spend the time needed to program fishing instead, and easily get a good amount of fish and a fair chance at sunken items. I get that people are worried about people who auto fish getting insane amounts of sunken items, but it still takes bait and time to auto fish. You couldn’t even really set up bots on VMs without days of work, as you’d have to get magnetic collectors rods for each alt made, level each of the alts up enough to use the rods, and also get hundreds of bait for each, which would take thousands of crowns. Also, even the other game mods on discord have said that auto fishing is fine, these being the game mods that don’t use auto fishing.

python is a pretty easy language to learn tbh since it’s kinda similar to lua.

It’s because the majority of people playing ROBLOX games are kids and the majority of those kids wouldn’t think about creating an image-detecting bot. Public availability of a program would be fair for everyone. We already went over this in past posts.
I imagine detecting the exclamation point to decide to click would be the best choice (and the choice that’s allowed by mods). Can’t really inject anything into the game without breaking rules.
