Heirloom Ideas

I thought of some Heirloom ideas based on the suggestion @Zawaito made a few days ago.

(read THIS suggestion otherwise this post won’t make any sense to you)

Satoshi Scabbard - Legendary Waist Heirloom

-a scabbard passed down the Satoshi bloodline of the Ryujin Dynasty, used to perform the Satoshi clan’s signature Iaido-

When this Heirloom is equipped, it automatically takes away one of your weapon slots, meaning you can only use two weapons. In exchange, when equipping a katana with Sword Draw: Flash Strike, that skill is automatically changed to the skill Satoshi Stance. pressing the skill key will make your character go into a stance that grants you access to six new powerful skills with long cooldowns.

Q - Satoshi Style: Hollow Song
A stronger version of Flash Strike that has a second hitbox. If the first hit connects it resets the user’s Hollow Song cooldown. If the second hit connects it resets all of the user’s Satoshi Style cooldowns.

E - Satoshi Style: Fragile Painting
A poke that functions similarly to a 20/20 shot. Does low damage, has short range, and requires good aim or setup but when it lands it applies slowness and lowers the targets defense making your katana skills do more damage for 8 seconds. If used on a target that is already debuffed it will instead do very high damage and clear the debuff

R - Satoshi Style: Transparent Dance
When activated the user can freely move very fast leaving afterimages. The user cannot use any skills during this but when the skill ends it leave them in Satoshi Style. If used in the air the user will maintain the same altitude while moving.

F - Satoshi Style: Soft Poem

When activated the user flashes black and white for 1-2 seconds. If the user takes any damage during this duration, the damage will be immediately parried and an AOE similar to shining cycle will proc that bleedstacks.

Z - Satoshi Style: Pleasant Game
A wide horizontal slash that deals decent damage

X - Satoshi Style: Gentle Play
a grab attack that after landing hits the opponent with a series of attacks that looks similar to Beast Instinct and finishes with a slash the sends the target at a downwards angle.

C - Satoshi Style: Exit Stance *technically not a skill
takes the user out of Satoshi Stance and returns them to their regular katana skills.

Ezekiel’s Flame Inhibitor - Exotic Arm Heirloom

-An enchanted glove that was gifted to a king’s son, a fire mage that had difficulty controlling their magic. The mage has long since passed but their essence seems to still somehow be present within the glove-

Flame Inhibitor

This heirloom would be equipped on your right hand. It would automatically influence heat-based spell or skill casted with your right arm (ex. blast with right arm throw, right arm crash with heat-based imbue or thermo fist, scald tooth dagger skills)

Charging any of these attacks would increase their damage and DOT exponentially but significantly decreases the size. However, if the user charges their right arm skills to many times the glove will overheat, causing the user’s temperature to rise and all the skills to retain their original size.

Skylock Afterburners - Legendary Back Heirloom

download

-Six enchanted wings that grant the user unfathomable speed. It’s said the last wielder met their fate by speeding into an early grave-

When equipped the user’s reflex would now be able to be held down. After the initial boost of the normal reflex, the user would continue to move horizontally while losing altitude. The further they travel, the quicker they would lose altitude. However if the user touches the ground while the afterburners are still active they would “crash”, taking some damage, rag dolling for a short moment, and have a small chance of losing a limb. Taking damage while the afterburners are active would also drastically decrease your altitude, potentially causing you to crash.

Bro, they’re awesome!!

You really captured the spirit of uniqueness i was going for

Only problem i have with the scabbard is that it changes skills, but you really thought of how that would play out so overall i like it. And the fact that it takes both an equipment slot and a weapon slot was really clever.

And the glove changing spells only if they have right hand animations is genius!!

I cooked up a couple more ideas and I’ll be posting them soon

this goes hard even if it doesnt get added i enjoyed this idea nice :+1:

Here’s some new ones:

Mirror Scarf - Legendary Neck Heirloom

-A scarf that belonged to a powerful warrior who ran rampant during the earliest days of the War Seas. It is said that an entire fleet was necessary to finally strike them down for good.-

Mirror Scarf

When equipped, the user can equip the same weapon type in all three weapon slots, however they would have to all be the same as the first weapon slot’s type. The user could also equip the exact same weapon three times (3 Sunken Swords) but the skill cooldowns would still be universal. (This heirloom would have to be added after all weapon types have access to at least 15 different skill notes so the user could have a full loadout). When equipping 3 of the exact same weapon, the user would hold the weapon in 3 different ways for each slot to signify which slot their using. For example a greatsword would have the default stance on slot 1, rest the greatsword on their shoulder for slot 2, and hold the greatsword forward in slot 3.

This heirloom idea is mostly for weapon users who want to use one weapon for drip purposes but are forced to use three

DARK SEA EXCLUSIVE Firmheart Special Grimoire - Exotic Waist Heirloom

-A pitch black book that somehow weighs more than a frigate. However, in the hands of a powerful mage it is much lighter.-

When equipped for solid magics, the user’s placed sphere explosions would now stay in place as physical hitboxes. They can be stood on top of, block projectiles, cover up small entryways, and would do damage to enemies that touch them. Lighter solid magics like wood, glass, and crystal would break easier and last a shorter time but upon breaking they would explode in an AOE that do slight damage. Heavier magics like Metal and Earth would be much more durable and last much longer but would not explode upon breaking. In exchange, the user would become more heavy, meaning lower T-jumps, faster falling, and breaking the ground when falling from high places.

DARK SEA EXCLUSIVE* Vile Starblood Mask - Legendary Head Heirloom
-an ominous mask that exudes a sinister energy. The mask seems to have a mind of its own, daring those who find it to don it and discover it’s mysterious powers-

vilestarbloodmask

Upon equipping this heirloom, the user grab their face in agony and bleed for a brief moment before finally settling down. When the user bleeds an enemy or is bled themselves, the mask will begin to glow. Bleeding enemies will “feed” the mask. When the mask is fed enough blood, it will begin to spawn blood clones. these clones will home into the nearest enemy and explode upon contact dealing decent damage. When the clones successfully land an explosion on a target, a small portion of that damage is used to heal the user. (if there are multiple enemies they will target whoever has lost the most HP from bleeding). However, if the user loses too much blood themselves (more than 30% of their total HP to bleeding), or goes too long without feeding while the combat marker is active, the mask will feed on the user giving them severe bleeding. The mask also counts any DOT damage as bleed

THE USER CANNOT TAKE THIS HEIRLOOM OFF without completing a specific ritual and having Warding V. When successfully unequipped the user will go through a unique animation before the Heirloom disappears from the user’s inventory.

DARK SEA EXCLUSIVE* Jumping Dead Talisman - Legendary Head Heirloom

(description before activation) -a simple hat with a hanging talisman-

(description after activation) -a very powerful talisman that has been enchanted with a dark forbidden magic lost to time.

jiangshi

When the user first obtains this Heirloom it would appear as a normal uncommon hat accessory. However, after dying with it equipped, the heirloom would activate when the user respawns. The user’s skin would turn white, light grey, or dark grey depending on the user’s original skin tone. They cannot eat or receive any benefits from food, nor can they drink potions (other potions types like throwables and gels can still effect them). They would be very susceptible to fire damage, the burning status would do more damage per tick, last longer, and be unclearable except by jumping into the ocean. Warding would have the opposite effect on them and work similar to insanity with Warding 1 through 5 having unique effects. In exchange, there is no delay between their jump dashes, they can T-jump and reflex using little to no stamina, naturally recover limbs after losing them, their hunger would be set to 0 but they cannot die of starvation or get hungry, and they suffer no insanity effects except for insanity 5.

The talisman on the hat would have a glowing magic circle instead of Chinese characters. For lore reasons the user is not actually dead, their body is just kept at a near-death state with powerful magic.

THE USER CANNOT TAKE THIS HEIRLOOM OFF without completing a specific ritual. When successfully unequipped the user will go through a unique animation before the Heirloom disappears from the user’s inventory.

Golden Flare’s Armband - Legendary Arm Heirloom

-An armband that belonged to a legendary warlord who’s speed was second to none.-

armband

When equipped the user’s Knife Throws do 90% less damage. In exchange, landing them will “mark” the target for 8 seconds. Pressing the Knife Throw key again will instantly reflex your character behind the target (similar to how Calvus dashes across the boss room)

The armband gimmick is extremely weird as it says a warlock was the previous owner, so why is it using a weapon as its gimmick?

I have a feeling they meant warlord

definitely meant warlord lol
