Help me with a build: Jaehwan the Pathfinder

So i’m coming back to the game after a long while, and i’ve just read all there is of The World after the Fall manhwa (not novel). And as i did with Baam (Tower of God, Spirit weapon/magic) last time i played, i was meaning to make another character inspired by Jaehwan, the main character of TWatF. Problem is i’m out of the loop.

So here i’ll describe how the main character fights (with as little spoilers as possible) and i hope you guys will help me with what weapons i should use and what arts to put in each weapon… Here we go.

Jaehwan the Thruster

The main gimmick of the character is that he trained one technique over and over and transcended humanity doing so.
(TWatF is a story that serves as a satire to the cultivation genre, so the characters are rather caricatures.)

He stabbed at the world over and over untill the world fell appart, and he started seeing the world his own way. Following this idea, i decided to go with Spirit/Weapon hybrid, using mostly the weapon side of it.
(I’m also considering strength instead of spirit exclusively for the lance argos uses)

So the requirements for this build are as follows:

  • I’ll only use stab type skills and, if possible, weapons
  • I rather use one single weapon, but if that’s not possible, then no more than 2, as i need at least one slot for the spirit weapon
  • No guns, bows, Hammers or dual swords allowed. I’ll allow myself to use any single or dual handed sword, so long as all of its skills are either mobility or stabs. Spears, Staves and Daggers i’m still on the fence about, so i wont rule them out just yet.
  • The build will be mostly weapons, having probably the bare minimum spirit to configure as a hybrid build, unless there’s a spirit rite i really wanna go for

What weapon arts you guys think i should run? As well as which weapons?

Sidenote: i don’t really expect this to be PvP viable. Not even lategame PvE viable to be honest. Its more about if i can, rather than if i should.

That said, i’ll do everything in my power to make this as viable as possible. So think of it as a challenge build.

At first i thought of grabbing the first weapon who’s attack is a thurst and not spend a single stat point untill the end of the game, but i figured it would NOT be a good time specially for a returnee

Sparrow thrust is a stab move (kinda), also I believe rapiers grab stabs a lot, so you can maybe think about those abilities.

I’ve been thinking about sparrow thrust, i just dont remember which type of weapon it fits

And yeah, rapier is a given, tho i’d like a bit of a chunkier weapon. Considering the strength req tho i’ll probably need to run rapier

There is a rapier move coming in full release called annihilation.
It’s basically a piercing shot for thrusting weapons.

I’ve seen!! It was what gave me the idea in the first place.
Guess i’ll wait till full release then for this idea. As well as hope for a new rapier wralon that is chunkier than base rapier but doesn’t require strength like loyalty lance

For now it seems like a 120s-160w iron-leg warlord is the way to go.
You get access to the colossal thrusting weapon class (ice dragon sword), get an effect that recolours weapons (ice dragon sword, blade of rejection), sparrow thrust, and unarmed combat (which can also be used as unarmed ‘stabs’).

I’ll just wait for the next update to drop xause i may rather go for vanishing/gunpowder depending on stat allocation. No idea yet tho
